Hey everyone!! End of the week is here-- hip, hip...HOORAY! I should have a long weekend but have to work Monday. I'll make the most of my weekend though. No concrete plans either-- wherever the winds blows us.

My protein totals have been lower than usual the past few days. I haven't been packing a yogurt which helps jump that total up for the day-- I'm just being lazy- its easier to grab an apple than pack yogurt and portion the berries l like in them.

Qotd: Monday is Veteran's day-- are you a vet, or know one? No one in my immediate family has served- it wasn't till I started working did I encounter people with service. Made me feel oddly sheltered for a bit-- but none the less- I appreciate the sacrifice of those of who have served!

No weighy, not up. 3.6 years out

m1: egg, ham, cheese stick

m2: Greek yogurt/berries and protein bar

m3: ?? I don't think there are any more leftovers.

M4: I'm feeling for a salad today.

My photos are or our new kitty- Sir Carbon and a rainbow on Election Day

Good morning! I was out late last night at a bar doing Harry Potter trivia. My team scored 49/50, but still didn't win prizes because 3 teams scored 50/50 and did a tie breaker to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. There were 43 teams total! Not bad. The one we missed was due to a slight error. The answer was Rudolphus, but we wrote Rudolpho. The bar was at the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater and I ate chicken ricotta meatballs.

qotd: many people in my family have served--my dad, several cousins, almost all of my grandparents and great-grandparents. My great-grandma was a WWII nurse and that's where she met my great-grandpa. Several of my friends from high school joined the military also, and many of my coworkers.

Breakfast: coffee with almond milk

snack: 4 oz deli turkey

lunch: leftover bbq pulled pork

dinner: likely a spinach salad with chicken

Hello Everyone:

Like I posted late yesterday, I got home very late yesterday because of work. I have another late evening tonight and probably have to work Saturday and Sunday, the first 2 days of my vacation! But when you come down to accountability, it's my own fault . . . I got too far behind in my charting. Administration is not happy about it!

QOTD: My father was in the Army during WWII. My brother-in-law was in the Marines during the Viet Nam Era. My sister-in-law was in the Army right before the Persian Gulf Era. I was not in the service, but I served our veterans for 12 years as a physician in the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center near where I live. The men and women there had amazing stories to tell!

The picture is of my niece and her rescue pup, Isla. My niece will be graduating from Veterinarian School in May 2019 at the University of Florida in Gainesville. I am so proud of her!!

MEALS FOR TODAY:

Breakfast: 8 oz nonfat milk, sf chocolate syrup, protein powder

Snack: 4 oz L&F Greek yogurt

Lunch: 2.5 oz tuna, 1 tbsp sweet relish

Snack: 8 oz nonfat milk, sf chocolate syrup, protein powder

Dinner: 3 oz vegetarian refried beans with a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top
