What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
morning all!! I had long day yesterday rating an exam. One of my panel members was aggravatingly particular about scoring when our scores didn't have to align totally. Ugh! My boss text me telling me she has news but I have to wait to today to hear it... I'm wondering what it is. She didn't say good news--- so I'm not getting my hopes up for anything big.
I hope election results are what everyone was hoping for. I take the position my life won't change dramatically one way or the other and so far it proves to be true.
Qotd: name one 'adult' responsibility you love to relieve yourself of? I'd say working but if that meant having to go back to school-- negative! With Cooking/cleaning there are things I prefer to do myself anyway. Money management is my pick. I don't mind working but wish I could have someone else pays the bills and just hand me $ as I needed as I left the house each day.
No weight, not up, 3.6 years out
m1: egg, fried plantains, turkey sausage
m2: Greek yogurt and berries
m3: left over chicken wings or left over ribs-- or both!!
m4: likely spaghetti for the family. (Which makes me revisit Qotd: I'd easily give up meal planning for a family! Let someone else serve there quirky preferences!)

Good Morning Peach and Menuers,
The professional development I had yesterday was probably the worst I have had in my entire 24 years of teaching. We were 'assigned' to rooms with teachers from other buildings, told it was self-directed PD through blackboard and work at your own pace. I was very honest about the evaluation of the day.
I was so full of stress and unhappiness about PD I came home and got on the treadmill. I ran a mile without stopping! First time in a long time. Today I will go to the gym and do the weight circuit and take the dog for a walk.
10 months out and weight staying at a steady 165.5. Do you all think this is it? Am I done losing weight or am I to the point in the journey where I have to really focus, work harder and eat intentionally to lose the last 15ish pounds?
M1: PP chocolate shake with my morning vitamins
M2: overnight oats
M3: 1 package Buddigs turkey, 1 oz. horseradish cheese, horseradish mustard, 1 hard boiled egg, and 1/4 C. homemade applesauce
M4: 1/4 of a One birthday cake bar (leftover from yesterday)
M5: 1 C of unstuffed pepper soup
Have a great day!

How much more are you wanting to lose? I'm a month ahead of you and while it has definitely slowed down I still am losing bit by bit. I'm currently at 171, started at 315. I think I want to weigh 160 but not exactly sure. My yearly follow up is December 4th so I'll discuss it more then.
I'd like to be at 169 for that appt bc he gave me % of loss and 169 was 80% in the exceptional range on their charts.

Hi there,
I started at 260 but the day of surgery I was 248. I lost fast and furious in the beginning and now it has virtually come to a stop. I didn't lose anything last month - that was month 10. My surgeon doesn't give us goals - she just wants us to be healthy. My own personal goal is 150. Just seems like I have stopped losing.

I bet it's just a stall. I also lost fast a furious until about month 6. I'll look at my notes and give you a breakdown. I started getting hungry after my breakfast premier shake so someone on here suggest dense protein instead. Even though I have not been able to eat solid food before 10 or 11 am. I've been trying little by little and it has def helped and I started losing again as well. I think we're all still learning how we function after surgery and have to find the right things that help.
My surgeon is the same way. Doesn't give us goals either. He doesn't want us focusing on a number. The percentages they give are % of fat lost. They say you may hit the exceptional. You may not. You may go well beyond. I just figure since I'm so close I'd like to hit that. But in my head I think I want to weigh 160.
I started out wearing 3x in my scrubs, 24/26 jeans from lane Bryant. I'm now wearing a 12 in jeans and a medium to large shirt and medium scrubs. So size wise I'm happy. I've just always felt I wanted to weigh 160#.

My body loves to stall. I just started running again and adding some weights to my gym routine. I like the idea of giving up the PP shake and going for something more solid. I can always have to PP shake later in the day. Thanks for your advice and help!

As I got closer to my goal weight, I had some long stalls where I thought I was done. I would keep with the plan and your body may in a few weeks or even longer drop more.
