Oftentimes for me the upwards fluctuations of the scale are completely inexplicable! Just our bodies adjusting, I guess. Keep going, hydrate, and don't let it get you down! It will be down in no time!

Trying not to, but it kinda sucks when I'm single digit close to goal and I've been such an angel, haha!

It really does suck! I just emerged from almost 4 weeks of up and down and up again nonsense. I have said "Are you freaking kidding me?!" to my scale many, many mornings! Hang in there! Your scale will have no choice but to comply very shortly!

Morning everyone! Happy Monday! It's Election Day Eve!

It's raining here today, with a feeling of darkness in the sky. My house looks dark inside and it's morning! This is an adjustment for me, after 12-13 years on California's sun-drenched central coast! Still, the rain is beautiful in its silvery way, and I often really missed it in Santa Barbara.

I didn't get in quite enough fluids yesterday, and was "rewarded" with bad leg and foot cramps all night. These wake me up and send me hobbling around the room for several minutes until they subside. It's so important to hydrate! I am usually quite good about this, but yesterday just didn't monitor my intake closely enough. Today I'm back in hydration mode!

On the positive side, I am down .8 of a pound today, to 143! I'm still uncertain of whatever number should be my goal, but whatever it is, it's close! I will make an appointment for a DEXA scan when it's at a nearby location later this month. It's in a truck (!), and they move it to different locations throughout the city, usually by schools and exercise studios like CrossFit.

First: FOUR mugs of tea!

B: two eggs with chives, dehydrated onion, and smoked gouda. Warm and good!

L: chicken

D: chicken

S: Yesterday I was light in getting enough protein in as well as water, so today I will correct that, and whatever snack i have will be for that purpose. Probably nonfat, plain Greek yogurt with a little extra protein powder mixed in!

Me too! They aren't as frequent as before I had my surgery though, and abated altogether for months in the beginning. I think it's mostly a matter of hydration, as my vitamin and mineral levels should be adequate.

My PCP had me add magnesium to my vitamin regime. I take it three days a week and it seems to be helping.

Wait, .8? You lost it and I found it, lol!

I used to want to move back to New England or to the PNW specifically for the weather. The more I think about it and especially since losing the weight I realize that I LOVE the sun and would miss it terribly. I miss it now when it's gone too long, so I don't know how I'd survive anywhere else!
