G'morning all!
TGIF! We have a meeting with DS's college counselor (not the school one - she is useless) that is making him nervous. My kids are so different. DD knew exactly what she wanted to do and had a laser focus. DS on the other hand has no idea what he likes to do. He does everything and he is good but the idea of choosing a college major is giving him major stress. So we are hoping the college counselor is able to help him understand better what he wants to do. The only thing he is sure of is that he wants to stay in CA and specifically on the coast, because of surfing. Funny because DD wanted to go anywhere but CA and eventually chose the other side of the country, DC.
QOTD: no planned trips until xmas. We are going to Italy to visit my family and pick up DD. I Am looking forward to see my mom and brother. I just hope my sister can make it too from UK.
B: coffee protein
L: chicken skewers
S: parm cheese
D: tuna + hard boiled egg
The pics are from last weekend hike. The smiley one is around 1:00 pm when we didn't know we were lost and were about to do 17 miles instead of 8...LOL. But it was a gorgeous hike. The first one is from the walk on the beach yesterday.

I never knew what I wanted to do, either. And having worked in colleges and universities for most of my career, your son is definitely not alone! Some kids are very laser-focused, and some aren't. I ended up with three completely unrelated degrees, and have worked in three different careers (mostly in higher education settings - but they were all very different careers). I liked a lot of different things, but not any one thing stood out for me - unlike some people who knew from the time they were young they wanted to be doctors - or teachers - or whatever. But that's fine. It's very frustrating when you're young and have to make those decisions, though - I remember having a lot of anxiety over that. But my career life to turned out to be OK. Although I was never "born" to be anything, I enjoyed all of my jobs.
