hi all- ok starting us off.

The pics of artwork are from the wynwood in miami from our trip a few months back, our new wood heater (no thats not my cheesecake) and a little lizard from last night.

Plans this weekend: get wood for heater, dogs nails clipped, maybe gym, then sunday at FIL's house. We MAY pack to stay with my mom next week- have to be onsite for the entire week plus evening events so need to have someone to walk pups for us. haven't talked to her yet.

QOTD: Do you have any special trips coming up?

food for today:

coffee

water

protein pancakes

ahi tuna with shiritaki noodles?

not sure what else.

Good morning! Happy Friday! No update on job situation yet, so trying not to think about it too much.

DH and I have season passes to the Broadway series at the Omaha Orpheum, and the first play was last night--The Play That Goes Wrong. It was hilarious! It's a play-within-a-Play about a company that is doing a murder mystery play and nothing's going well. Props are falling off walls, the set is breaking, the tech guy can't remember his queues for lighting and sound effects...there were a lot of times I almost couldn't breathe for laughing. And the teeny tiny Orpheum theater seats? I fit just fine ;)

qotd: only upcoming trip is a road trip to Tulsa for thanksgiving to visit DH's extended family.

Breakfast: splurged on a large sugar free latte made with almond milk

snack: Greek L&F

lunch: leftover cauliflower chicken fried rice

dinner: shrimp with pesto

Dangit my pics! I forget every time. DH and I doing face masks the night of our anniversary (Sunday) and me fitting into the jacket I bought too small a couple months ago. Fits just in time! I'll be looking for a new matching hat this weekend at a craft show :)

That green hat really brings out your beautiful eyes and how great is that that your hubby will do a face mask with you!

Mornin'!

I'm going over to the yoga studio this morning for a class and coffee, then....???? I've managed to work my way through most of my "to do" list, so I may start going through boxes and purging - or I may just hang it up and go to a matinee. At any rate, I need to be doing something today. No big plans for the weekend.

QOTD: we haven't taken any trips in a long time because of our cat who just passed (she took about eight different pills, plus subcutaneous fluids, plus at the end - insulin shots). The last time we were away together was when I had plastic surgery in Chicago in August. Before then, it had been forever - in fact, I can't even remember when we were both away together. Our next planned trip is back to Chicago for phase 2 of my plastic surgery in December - but hopefully now that we're not so tied down to the house, we can take some fun weekend trip before the end of the year.

3 years 4 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with raspberries

MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: either pimento cheese on 4 multi-grain crackers or a cup of cottage cheese, grapes

AS: baby carrots and hummus

D: halibut if it's thawed by then. Otherwise, turkey meatballs and zoodles

ex: yoga. Might go over to the gym, too.

there are so many different styles of yoga that you may yet find one that you like. I don't care for hot yoga, the more athletic forms of yoga, and kundalini yoga, for example. When I was SMO, I also didn't like flow yoga (AKA Vinyasa), but I'm fine with it now, as long as it's gentle. I love Yin and I'm fine with most of the other gentle types and classes, too.
