Love the Carolina Chocolate Drops!! Will check out the other two for sure!
My favorite version of Season of the Witch is Dr. John from the Blues Brothers 2000 movie. The movie was a sin but there's gold in that soundtrack!

Aren't Carolina Chocolate Drops fantastic? An old beau of mine used to be their producer.
I will hunt down the Dr. John version of Season of the Witch - it's a favorite song. Thanks for the recommendation!
I hadn't listened to the John Gorka song I linked all the way through for a long time, and just did so a few minutes ago. I had totally forgotten that he mentions our president in the song. I apologize to anyone who is offended. Please know that this song is at least 20+ years old, so was written when POTUS was just a public personality, not a political figure. I didn't mean to politicize the thread.
- I actually had linked another song by another man I used to know - he was my next-door neighbor when we were in college. He was an absolute freaking MASTER of National steel guitar and Delta blues. I knew he had died a few years ago, but hadn't heard of much beyond that - he had always been extremely nice to me, but I had had no contact with him for close to 40 years. Anyway after linking a song of his that I particularly like here, I read his lengthy NY Times obituary and was so saddened and so shocked by what I read. There were very serious accusations against him in the article. I was so shocked by what was written that I took down the link I had posted. Despite whatever truth there may be to those claims, and they seem to have legitimacy, I do not wish to speak ill of him, or of any of the dead. But I still didn't want to link him here. A very strange day for me.
