What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
Mornin'! (or rather, Afternoon!)
well, we did it. We took Ruthie kitty in this morning to be put to sleep. We'd more-or-less planned to do it yesterday, but she was having such a good day (better than she's had in days..) that I just couldn't. I knew when I got up this morning, though, that this was not going to be a good day for her. It was time. If it wasn't today, it would have been tomorrow or Friday (in fact, we had a euthanasia appt scheduled for Friday afternoon). Either way you look at it, she was at the end of the line. I'm both very sad and, at the same time, feeling a little relief. She had so many medical issues and was on so many drugs and treatments - including insulin and fluids - that we were pretty much tied to our house, plus we worried about her ALL THE TIME. But it's always hard, regardless of the cir****tances.
Peach - someone may have said this already (I haven't read through everyone's responses yet), but it's really common for cats to hide the first few days they're in a new environment. Almost all of ours did. Glad to hear he seems to be working out so well!!
3 years 4 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, 1/2 mango
MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: chicken salad (made with Greek yogurt) in a FlatOut FoldIt
AS: protein pudding (so filling!!)
D: not sure. Maybe we'll go out. I'm not sure I can deal with trick-or-treaters tonight. This isn't a good day..
