What's on your Tuesday menu RNY'ers?
I'm so sorry Ruthie is nearing the end, but it is good that you can have some good days with her too. It hurts to lose them after they have been such a big part of our lives. Do the best you can for her and be gentle with yourself.

I know what you mean about us having to be ready. Whatever the timing, you are giving Ruthie the love and care she needs.

Hi all, happy Tuesday! Thanks, Janet, for launching us!
I was up until 5 working on a project, then got up again at 7 for a half hour, then was able to catch another hour of sleep. I feel surprisingly well rested! The scale is up but I think it's due to being off schedule, so I should see it drop tomorrow. Intake was good yesterday, though I switched out what I ate after hitting the grocery store - I had some more salmon and some shrimp. And I drank endless cups of tea, all night long! My calories were 527, carbs at 18, and protein was 91, so I really think I am ok despite the scale's uptick. I admit that I'm a little tired of the scale not dropping to my goal more steadily, but I know that the only way through this is to just put my head down and power through, so that is what I am doing! I also have to make it ok within myself to drop down into the low 130s. I don't really want to weigh that as I fear that I will look too thin and drawn, but I will do it to protect and preserve my loss. Then if I do bounce up a little I believe I will still be able to keep myself at goal. That's the plan, anyway!
QOTD: Having been so heavy for 9 years in my 50s and 60s, then losing over 200 pounds, has left me with excess skin which can't all be exercised away. I know a little of it will snap back and adjust a bit in time, but certainly not all of it will. So I have several areas I will want to address with PS: likely a LBL and my thighs (these really need to be done!). And the girls need to point further north. Also a face lift! And my arms. From soup to nuts! Now, first to reach goal and stay there, while I figure out the necessary money. Another factor is that I turned 65 this month! Though I feel great and am in good health, I was born when I was born. I really want this reconstructive work to be done. Dos anyone know if plastic surgeons impose age limits for surgery?

Good Evening Everyone,
Better late than never I guess...
DH and I went to the gym again last night (it's becoming our evening routine) and I ran on the treadmill again and then we lifted weights. Today I was sore so I took a walk.
My Chico (fur baby) had a rough night. He was very restless from about 1 AM to 3 AM. I called the vet and made an appointment for him to be seen, but when DH got home from work he seemed fine. We played and he ate his dinner and has been acting normal all night. We will see how tonight goes. DH thinks it's him becoming more senile. Idk...
QOTD: I would love to have PS for belly, arm, and breast but I will never be able to afford it and I haven't had even the slightest of rashes.
Today I was my doctor/surgeon's transformation Tuesday on her FB page. Kind neat. Here is the link, in case you want to see it.

10 months out and 167 today.
B: overnight oats
2nd: PP chocolate shake
L: 4 oz chicken and 1/4 roasted broccoli and cauliflower
S: cheese stick and Honeycrisp apple
D: 1/2 turkey and provolone bake from Costco
I am sure with that 1/2 of a sandwich I am over my calories but we were out and that was what I had.
