Halloween
Is this a tough day for you? I am very weak when it comes to candy.
Im typically the "candy-giver-outer"..near the end these kids are going to be receiving more than they bargained for. Need to get it out of the house...

My exercise motto-Further or faster!!!
I have not had issues in recent years. I will enjoy my two squares of dark chocolate that I have in the evenings and will be good to go. Hubby doesn't like the temptation to stay in the house so usually right before we are going to turn off the porch light we will so the same and give out bigger amounts if we still have a lot left. Pre-surgery the day after Halloween I would go to the store and buy so many bags of candy at the 50% off sales.
We don't have trick or treating in my neighborhood--my community has mostly done away with door-to-door stuff in exchange for "safe" community center trick or treating events for kids, so we don't buy candy. I'm not really a candy/sweets person though. I didn't even buy any Halloween candy pre-surgery, though I did occasionally indulge in a pumpkin Reese's PB cup :)

I buy candy I don't particularly like to give out. Instead of the all chocolate mix at Costco, I got the one that had the Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish and that stuff. I don't hate that candy, but I know it makes me feel awful, so I have to problems avoiding it.
I love Halloween. I have a friend that throws an amazing party and my costume options have increased now that I can go to a rental shop and fit into whatever they have. Last year I was a 50's monster movie sweater girl and this year I was dead Amelia Earhart. Go crazy!

I do this for the candy dish in my office. Technology runs on sugar so it's good to have something there for people during the meetings but only the stuff I have no interest in. I've always been the go to for anyone wanting something with coconut, lol.

No candy. Turn the lights out. If kids come into your yard, turn the sprinklers on.
It's "Trick or Treat." Why does everyone else do treats?

We don't get a lot of trick or treaters here, so I don't buy candy for the house. The office will be full of chocolatey landmines, but they tend to stack them up on the most traveled pathways, so I know how to avoid the temptation. Lol, just stay on the outside edges of the office -- like the grocery store!
