I'm noticing the sizing thing myself. I'm currently a 16 (I say) but a 16W is too big, and not all regular 16 fit at all yet. But today I have on a pair of 14s, but they're the only 14s I have that fit and they make me question that they are mislabeled lol. I think the 27 you're speaking of is more akin to men's sizing--waist and inseam inches?

I do also need to focus on what looks good and fits well, rather than the number--but you kind of at least need a general starting point for where to start trying on.

It's odd - it's not the men's sizing/inseam thing. One of my friends says she thinks it's a "juniors" sizing but then my (much shorter and skinnier) sister wears a 31 and says it's just random sizing and you have to try on all the clothes. She's 6 in other brands.

I may have dropped a few f-bombs at some point in the discussion, lol

Good morning everyone. I am happy its Wednesday. I am headed into Costco and Trader Joes today. Yesterday was a great food day.

QOTD- My current struggle is bras. I used to buy my bras from Lane Bryant when I was a 44 DDD and now I am a 36 C. I want a bra that is uplifting and supportive and doesn't cut my loose skin in half. Or give me the dreaded armpit boob.

Food for today-

1 c. cottage cheese with everything bagel seasoning. ( We are out of eggs)

S-chomps

L- I am not sure, I'll be out shopping. I am thinking grilled chicken nuggets from chick fil A

D- grilled halibut with lemon and capers. I love this!! 37 protein and 180 calories. So delicious

Vitamins and lots of water.

I hear you on the bras! I feel like even though my ladies have lost volume, My cup size hasn't changed much. And if the band feels snug enough to be supportive, I too, have armpit boobs.

Do you have a Nordstrom by you? They have an AMAZING lingerie department. They can have a woman fit you for bras - certain bras provide me the right support without the armpit boob or the back fat...but it took me a lot of trying on to find the right one. I was wearing the complete wrong size until I went to them. They found the brands that worked for me, and then I bought one bra from them (for like $45). But I took pics of the other ones. And drove right over to Nordstrom Rack and bought the rest for about $20 :)

When the ladies look good, your body looks good :)

I have become a fan of Wacoal bras. They are a little more expensive than many brands, but they are ironclad as far as uplift and shaping are concerned. Some are very pretty and sexy, others are just workhorses. I went from a 44DD or DDD to a 32DDD or G.

Good Morning Cassie and Menu Family!

I'm going over to my friend's house today to play Scrabble & Trivial Pursuit and it's my turn to provide lunch. I have no idea what to bring, so I may just pick up a pizza.

QOTD: My most frustrating shopping experience is not having enough money for everything I buy lately - groceries, vet bills, utilities, etc. Everything seems to be getting more and more expensive, yet my income (Disability) stays the same. Also, trying to figure out what to buy Saralisa for Christmas and her birthday, (Jan. 5th), is a challenge. As far as clothes shopping for myself, having NO boobs left after my weight loss is a problem. Trying to find padded bras (do they even make them any more?) and tops that look nice with a flat chest.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 112, Calories - 1,430, Carbs- 181.

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: pizza

D: 160 calorie meal, light & fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, banana

Have an awesome day everyone!

good morning friends!

it's hump day and it feels like it. ugh.
I really hope the day doesnt go too slow but also that the crazies keep to themselves considering its a full moon and it somehow always makes someone I encounter extra crazy.

QOTD: I get frustrated by sizing a lot...I don't have a ton of time to shop in stores because I don't have opportunities to go without my daughter and she is not the most patient lol...so I do a lot of online shopping right now and I feel like I have to constantly measure myself to compare to sizing charts because they are ALL different.
I can't buy pants online at all because I have an odd shape (sort of Apple-glass?) where my hips are widest but i have zero butt, and my legs are thinner but I still have a lot of loose saggy skin on my thighs so they don't look great unless the pants have "slimming technology." I like the stretchy fabric pants because of this, but they are also not the most flattering.
I am also probably overdue for a bra fitting...I just don't want to spend the money on nice bra's until I am at a more consistent size so right now It's walmart bra's for me. they are not the best fit or shape but I hate to find a great one and pay all the money and only be able to wear it for 3 weeks or whatever!

B: coffee w/sf hazelnut creamer
L: leftover Chili w/1 TBS sour cream and a sprinkle of cheddar
S: 2 turkey meat sticks
D: not 100% sure yet, maybe I'll actually finally make the chicken cordon bleu casserole I've been planning for over a week

I have found that the leggings from Express are the BEST. They are a thick and supportive material (don't show my lumps and bumps), fit around the waist where they should if you're not 15 years old, and are stretchy enough that it's ok if one part of you is big and another small. They're almost always $40, buy one get one for $20, so $30 each. I have tried lots of brands, but I find these to be amazing. They also have vanity sizing, so if you're an 8-12, you can fit the mediums.

Good morning. I have an endocrinologist appointment this morning. I never came off of insulin after surgery because I got dehydrated and they didn't want to start me on Metformin when I was dehydrated. So I have been slowly reducing my insulin dose each week. Hopefully she will tell me today that I can just stop it altogether. If not its only two more weeks.

QOTD: I seem to be losing from the outside in, so my arms and legs are getting slimmer but my stomach is retaining weight the longest. That makes getting dress pants that fit difficult and makes shirts loose in the chest and shoulders or tight in the stomach.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

snack: Light and fit

Lunch: Tuna creations

Snack: Volpi

Dinner: Mahi burger unless family is eating something compliant

Have a great day all
