My breaks for you and your baby! They are such great friends and loves us no matter what size we are. Enjoy the good days and you will know when it's time to say goodbye

I know the pain. I've had many pets over the years, which means I've had to cope with their illnesses and eventual deaths. I lost a kitty about two months ago.

I've also had to euthanise some pets. Even though I did my very best to make the right decision, for weeks afterward I always worried that I had done the wrong thing. Half the time I would feel I acted too soon, and the other half the time I would feel I waited to long. Logically, that means that I probably did the right thing at about the right time, but that didn't stop me from feeling guilty!

Lucy loves you, which means she wants you to be happy. So, as things get difficult, try to focus on the happy times you've had together.

Every time a beloved pet of mine dies, I visualise the animal inside my chest. At first, it circles around trying to find the right spot and causing me to feel the physical pain of their loss. Eventually, they settle down and curl up in my heart. I can still feel them there, but it's more comforting than painful.

How sweet to get these messages. I am a lifelong dog mom. I am that person that will baby dog talk any dog nearby.

Lucy has been with me for all of my post RnY life. She kept me moving and ate many of my last bites when the pouch was full. We are completely entwined with each other. It's gonna be rough.
