Good afternoon,
I woke up late so I had to hurry to feed me and the cat, made coffee so I had it ready for church and shower. I made it on time.
Guess I'm going to take my kitty to my dads and see if he can help me trimmed Misty's toenails. I've tried wrapping her in a towel or tried to do it when she seems sleepy and relaxed, it's a no go.
B ham and cheese omelette, string cheese and English muffin
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D pork loin roast and carrots
Have a good day
how did it work out? It took most of our cats a few times to get used to having their nails clipped, but eventually they were fine with it (well, except for one who's still a pain to do - I don't know what his problem is - I've never accidentally cut the quick, so ...???). But DH still holds them while I do the deed. I think it would be challenging to do it alone, even with a cooperative cat.
Just a suggestion . . . Our local Petco will clip pets' nails for $4. I don't know if you need to make an appointment.
PetSmart might also clip pets' nails, but I'm not sure. They are very good with my dog. I usually take him there for a bath and nail clipping. He weighs 84 lbs and I can't lift him into the tub anymore. Unfortunately, we had a freak tornado a few months ago and the store was destroyed, but they are rebuilding and will reopen soon.
A lot of places won't do cats. Our local pet store groomers won't. We have to take them to be done at the vet--but our vet taught us how to do them at home :)
