Good morning! Today we are heading to the pumpkin patch where we've rented a campfire site and invited our friends and family to come roast hotdogs and marshmallows and explore the patch. Valas Pumpkin Patch is a pretty huge deal around here, they have a ton of attractions, animals, u-pick apples and pumpkins, and my husbands favorite: apple gun air cannons. You can buy a bucket of apples to shoot out into a field of targets.

Qotd: as ive gotten older I've gotten more fond of my first name and probably wouldn't change it. My maiden name was Cobb, and I hated it! I was called Cassandra (or Cassie) on the Cobb all through school. I like my married name much better!

breaking my AMAW streak today, I started with coffee and a protein shake, both with almond milk

lunch will be a roasted hotdog or two, and I'll cut them up and add my hot dog toppings. I like the works--ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, and onion. I brought my own home canned relish. Skipping the bun.

Im also planning on having a s'more.

Unsure on dinner as I don't know where we'll be. We only have the fire til 4, but my family will be in so it depends on if they leave right away or want to go out. I'll make a protein-forward choice. Despite my s'more, I don't want to completely derail my AMAW progress.

This sounds like Cam's pumpkin cannon story on Modern Family.

Hello:

We're having another crisp autumn day. We already had snow flurries Thursday morning so winter is lurking closely behind.

This afternoon I am volunteering at our county SPCA. One of our local veterinarians is volunteering his time to give rabies shots and insert microchips. My job is to draw up the rabies vaccines into syringes for the vet. Most pet owners bring dogs or cats, although we have had our occasional pot belly pig or ferret.

QOTD: I actually like my own name, which is Joyce. I like to think that my parents believed that I would bring joy to other people or that I would be a happy, joyful person. It is an older name that wasn't used very often even when I was born many years ago. Any time I meet another person named Joyce, it always is a pleasant surprise since it doesn't happen too often.

MEALS FOR TODAY:

Breakfast: Fat free milk, SF chocolate syrup, protein powder

Lunch: Lentil pasta, marinara sauce, grated Pecorino romano cheese

Snack: Low fat, SF Greek yogurt

Dinner: Turkey meatloaf

Height: 5'2" Starting Weight: 260

Surgery Weight: 232 Goal Weight: 140

Current Weight: 179

I love that name! I have a wonderful aunt named Joyce. My dad called her Joycie, I always thought it was adorable!

Good morning friends... Been a crazy week at work but I loved being alone and would take a week of what I just had then a week of what I usually get. Today is the usual except tonight hubby and I are going to a concert going to see Bradford Marsalis. My husband went to college with him so it will be nice to spend an evening listening to some Jazz music.

QOTD: Always wanted my name to be Lynn growing up so I would change my name to that if I could.

Food for the day:

B: Eggs and bacon

L: Turkey and cottage cheese

D: we are going out to dinner

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

Im going to go visit my friend that had total hip replacement, it's been a few weeks since I seen her. Might go to the store to buy a new winter coat and bras since I see they're having a sale at kohl's.

Misty the kitten sure loves people food. She loves my omelette and tuna and cottage cheese. She still eats her kitten food though.

Qotd I like my name but if I had a daughter , her name would of been Ashley Nicole.

B ham and cheese omelette omelette, string cheese and English muffin

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D pork loin roast and carrots

Have a good day

Hi all! It's late here but I figured I'd chime in anyway. I tried posting earlier but got distracted by phone calls, etc.

It's chilly up here! In my office area I have a propane stove which looks like an old-fashioned wood stove, and it's just so cozy to be sitting here and getting warm! I never got cold like most of you did, and kept feeling pretty hot throughout my weight loss. Now in the mid-140s I'm feeling slightly more sensitive to cold, but it's probably because I have bare legs and am not wearing a sweater! Tights or socks, leggings or slacks, what a concept! I'm not in California anymore!

QOTD: I didn't like my first name growing up. I felt that I was so different in so many ways that I just wanted to fit in. That was basically never going to happen, at least not in the excruciatingly preppy town I grew up in. It took quite a while for me to grow into my name, but I like it now. I wouldn't change it. That being said, there are many beautiful names. I am partial towards Slavic names like Svjetlana, Lara (a la Dr. Zhivago, which I watched again last night), Tatiana, Marina, Katerina, Valentina, Danica, etc.

First: 3 huge mugs of tea

B: a ranch flavored tuna packet

L: chicken

D: ham

S: shrimp

Have a beautiful Saturday, my friends!

They are beautiful, aren't they? I spent my 14th summer deeply immersed in classic Russian novels, and ever since have loved these names. Plus that is my heritage, so another reason to have affection for them!
