What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?

I know Sheila, that's the worst part is I know all of this!
I mean I know it's not innocent. I'ts definitely not...but I also know I have no intentions of it becoming anything more...this is someone I knew for years and who knew everything about me...and it's really hard to separate the feelings I had for him then and the people who we are now, almost 20 years later.

your concern means a lot to me. I am avoiding texting him back right now but it's like a bubble inside me waiting to burst. it's super hard to ignore it. I told him he missed his chance and that I hate him for not liking me when he could have me...he knows we are not going to see each other in person. I am really hoping my feelings will just fade away so I can stop thinking about it!

If it has already gotten to the point that he has shown interest (outside his marriage) and you had to tell him he missed his chance back then...we are already in murky waters. He doesn't respect his wife and for sure he doesn't respect you!! Why would you even talk to somebody who doesn't respect you? How would you feel if your husband flirted with an ex? I know it's easier said than done but Amber, walk away from this. The more you talk to him the more you get involved, even if you don't want to. Obviously he has a hold on you in the way that you have a spot in your heart for him and he knows it. And he is taking advantage of this.

Please, please walk away from this...I've seen it ending badly.

I honestly think the whole reason I even "confessed" here on OH is because I know I needed someone to tell me to get my head on straight and tell me some tough love.
I absolutely know what I should and should not do, and I am not going to ruin my life over someone I had a thing for when I was still practically a kid.
I am ignoring his texts and calls. I'm sure eventually I will have to say something but I am trying to figure out the best words to use that will make him understand. I really wish we could be just friends but it is likely not feasible.
It seems so simple but in reality there are a lot of unresolved feelings I need to deal with and I am trying to figure out a way to be OK with letting them go.

For me it's easier to block and delete numbers. I have some friendships that needed to be ended.

You gotta do what feels best for you and your family. For me, I would have to tell my DH.

I don't have any advice on the old friend issue but I'm sure you will find out what the right thing is for you and do it -- good luck!!

I know Amy, you're absolutely right.
I feel like my life is wonderful right now and I am honestly pretty angry at him for coming out of the woodwork when everything else is falling into place.

I am not going to jeopardize my family for anything or anyone.
