Hello Challenge friends! I'm so happy to read your results - everyone did really well!

I had gone down to 150.0 over the last couple of weeks, then up, then hovering and stalled. I began my AMAW week at 152.8. I weighed in at 147.2 this morning - a loss of 5.6 pounds! Yesterday I actually weighed in lower - at 146.6# for a 6.2# loss. The gain I am sure was due to substituting more ham for my other planned meals - though I didn't eat a tremendous amount of it, it is higher in carbs than I was monitoring as I went along yesterday ("maple ham") - delicious but higher in carbs than it should have been - so I am up .6 of a pound, boo! Back to salmon, tuna, beef, and just a little ham instead of multiple meals of it!

Still, at 16 months out, I am definitely happy with a 5.6 pound loss for the week, and I am continuing on with AMAW for this next week as well.

At this point I am planning to continue my weight loss phase until the end of December or until January 1 - I have this idea that it's a good idea to incorporate some behavior into the first day of the year that you wish to set a pattern for the year with, so I may be still dieting on 1/1/19. But after that I expect I will probably be ready to segue into maintenance! I will do another week or possibly two of AMAW around the holidays sometime. I hope to lose another 10 pounds or so. Actually I'd like to lose to 135#, not because I want to weigh that, I am ok with weighing under 150, but I need the wiggle room for sure! Then I think I will get on the hard-to-ride Maintenance Horse and do my best to stay in the saddle!

Thank you ALL for doing AMAW/CAMAW with me! Sending love to every one of you!

ham often has a lot of sodium in it, too - so that may be another factor....

Good point! It definitely does! I finished that ham today, but there was only .25 of an ounce left, so I'm pretty sure that amount won't be enough to have a negative impact. I'm keeping on with AMAW for a week, but that will be it then for a while. I've got some flank steak in the slow cooker with some of that 0-carb, 0-calorie (how do they do that?) BBQ sauce from Walden Farms. It does have some sodium in it, though. I want the beef to get super soft so I can pull it all apart, like pulled pork. Hopefully it's going to be edible!

Thank you Sheila! I'm not sure if I'll do another week in November, or in December - probably the latter. But yeah! I'd love to do it with you then!

Will do Liz! We'll meet the holidays head on, enjoying all the good, yet avoiding or at least mitigating all of the not-so-good!

As a vegan, this thread got me thinking about what a vegan version of AMAW would look like. Then I realised that it's what I'm already doing! In order to get enough protein, essentially everything I eat has to be protein-rich. Tofu, legumes, pulses, etc.
