What Side Do You Sleep On?

I am curious - what side of your body do you most frequently use? Did your sleep preference change after your RNY procedure? I used to sleep propped up because of GERD issues but now find I want to sleep on my right side.

How about you?

I usually am most comfortable sleeping on my right side, but will roll over to my left maybe 40% of the time. Favoring the right is probably because I sleep on the edge of the bed, and am facing out when lying on my right side.

Left side, knees bent, dog right behind my leaning on my back.

I tend to sleep more on my right side too, hugging a pillow. I think it's more because my husband mouth breathes in my face all night if I go left, bless his heart ;)

I sleep on my right side purely out of habit. Even when I had to change the side of the bed I sleep on a few months ago, I still automatically sleep on my right side . . . that is, usually until my dog works his way over to my side of the bed and nudges me off the edge of the bed onto the floor!!

There is a theory sleeping on the left side puts undo pressure on the heart. Believing this pre and postWLS, I attempt to sleep on my right side. Waking up on my left side puts undo pressure on my worry-wart brain thinking my heart will be giving out any second.

I'd like to think I sleep on the right side. That comes from clean living and having a clear conscience.

I use to sleep on my side when I was heavy as the snoring kept my husband awake if I slept on my back. Now I sleep mostly on my back and some on the left side.

Left side in the fetal position. Oh Dear, what does that say about me? LOL Oh yeah, with a dog or two nestled in there somewhere.

Slept that way forever. Weight loss didn't change it. :)
