What's on your Tuesday menu, RNYers?
Thank you. I think the stress is more because our extended family won't help him now after years of enabling his bad choices, and of my brothers and I, I'm the most financially able to help...but honestly I don't really want to. But...he's my dad, so I do. But I can't help but feel that my helping him is also enabling. I helped with the phone so he could be contacted by employers, the VA, and the disability officials. And the storage because he was already so down, losing all of his things would have just been a kick in the head. And then if he got back on his feet with a place to live, he'd only need to rebuy everything.

I am sorry for your challenges with your dad. It can be hard when you have parents that you're not close to but still have the "responsible" gene.

Family certainly can be difficult. Do what you need to to take care of yourself.
