Congratulations on the two pounds! I've been losing/gaining the same two for a few weeks now, and would like to be about 4 pounds less, but it sure is a battle.

QOTD: We have natural gas on Cape Cod which also supplies two gas fireplaces, our stove, dryer, our gas grill and our electric generator. The monthly bill isn't cheap but I love the convenience of it, especially when on the generator (which happened last night - it turns on automatically with no refueling needed). In Florida we have electric but we rarely need to heat there and electricity is incredibly cheap compared to Massachusetts.

Accountability: A few more calories than I wanted but I stayed on CAMAW.

2 Years 6.5 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 22.5 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Deli chicken

D: Leftover crab (or out)

S: yogurt

Good Morning Hillary and Menu Family!

Good morning! I heard from my dad last night, he's been homeless since the beginning of summer. He's been working part time driving taxi, but not really coming out ahead because he has to TAKE a taxi or bus to get to his taxi, plus since he doesn't have anywhere to prepare food, he buys his meals. He's been crashing with friends and family a few nights here and there, or staying at warming shelters, and when it was warmer he did sleep outside. But he is finally almost up on the waiting list at the VA to get some housing assistance, and got approved for disability which will start in December. He has developed health issues that prevent him from doing heavy manual labor jobs like he's done his whole life, and he has no computer/office skills to take "desk jobs." I did begrudgingly help him keep his cell phone on and pay for a storage unit so he didn't lose his possessions, but I'm not close to my dad and I feel like he made his own bed with this whole fiasco. The reason he's homeless is because he stole money from his employer, who was also his landlord, and apparently it wasn't the first offense. Ugh.

Qotd: we have a gas furnace/central air, but gas is expensive so we do keep that set low and use a space heater when we're up in the sitting room. It gets cold in the bedroom, but we have fleece sheets and thick blankets to snuggle in. I'd love a fireplace! Maybe when we move next year.

Last day of AMAW, though I'm going to extend to Friday.

breakfast: black coffee, chicken bourbon sausage

lunch: 4 oz chicken breast with buffalo sauce

snack: 4 oz chicken breast with ranch seasoning

dinner: 4 oz shrimp with 1 tbsp ****tail sauce
