Holmes was one handsome dude! Janet, I'm so sorry that it came time for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I can empathize with some of your pain since I went through this decision with my beloved Abyssinian girl not too long ago when she was age 16. Her kidneys also were failing because of some type of cancer that I decided against having evaluated further.
It's really hard when you keep thinking your kitty is still there, maybe brushing against you, and you turn around and your kitty isn't there. Or when you find some of your kitty's fur some place months later that didn't happen to get vacuumed up. Even my dog, who never liked my cat, was out of sorts for days after she died. He was looking for her all over the house.
I know it's real hard right now, but try to think of the wonderful thing you did for Holmes, even though he was a difficult cat. You gave him his much longed for fur-ever home after he was unsuccessful at achieving this at least 3 or 4 previous times. You had the heart to keep him and give him a great, loving life even though he had troublesome habits.
I like the following saying and it truly applies to you, Janet:
Rescuing one cat won't change the world . . .
. . . But it will change the world for one cat.
hi all- eventful and uneventful week - the bet news is we have water!!! since later Friday night. they had to come check our well which is producing water but at a very slow rate for some reason (maybe a blocked water vein). They put in about 900 gallons of water into the well and we will see if this holds. Pray or swing some chickens for us. if it empties again we will have to hydro frack which can be about 4K!! interestingly enough the guy mentioned that he has had 4 calls on our mountain and that every season change sometimes causes water distribution on the earth. interesting but not when I have NO WATER!
DH threw his back/hips out saturday becuse he decided to lift a toilet by himself and on the deadlift down he hurt himself. so we went back home saturday and his dad had no new toilet in his room. I spent sat and sunday caring for him so no workout for me. I did clean the kitchen though and do lots of laundry.
today after work im going to the eye doc- my vision is worse and need new glasses/contacts if my eyes will accept them- then to the gym.
Making ribs for dinner is the plan.
Food for today:
coffee
water
ribs/veg
gizzards/veg
PP in coffee
QOTD: pee- walk the dogs, make coffee

Yay for running water -- the best invention ever! Hope the water re-distributes itself right back into your well.

Happy Monday Peach! Thanks for getting us started!
This is going to be a long week, full of stupid things at work but it will be busy and go fast, I hope. Starting today with my RD and Barinurse follow ups and fasting labs so no coffee for me! I'll be working from the hospital all day since my apts are at 7:50, 9 and 1 which makes for a long day! They do have good wifi there at least!
Accountability - it's been good, CAMAW has helped with some of my moments of weakness, that's for sure!
QOTD - pee, weigh myself, put my weight into my app, and start the keurig, and then the mornings vary from there!
8 months out @ 166lbs
No coffee for the morning but it will come and then tea/water.
B - premier
L - roltini
D - 3 oz crockpot chicken breast
484 cal, 68 protein, 8 carbs
Have a great start to the week everyone!
