Mornin' All!
Late post today since I had to get up early to go to pool. I was supposed to shadow the water fitness instructor last week, but the pool was closed since there was some sort of issue with the pipes. So today was the day. It went OK - my joints weren't bothering me (but we'll wait 'til tonight and tomorrow morning to see what they feel like then), but boy, it's way tougher to do those routines on dry land than it is in the pool! I'm a little ambivalent now about getting into this - part of me really doesn't want any commitments for awhile. I'm still decompressing from working full-time for the last million years and LOVE my freedom! But I'll give it more thought. Right now, there's only one class they're needing an instructor for - one class a week is very manageable....
I went to a hockey game on Friday night with a friend who had an extra ticket. Loved it! I actually turned on the radio to listen to the game on Saturday night - wish I'd have been there! So we'll need to start going to hockey games, evidently. So much fun!!
does anyone know what happened to Karen P? She seems to have disappeared without a trace. I know people come and go on these forums all the time, but she was a regular and a very long-timer. I sent her a FB message this morning to see if she was OK...hopefully she'll respond. Very odd. I've been wondering about her the last couple of weeks....she never came back after her summer of doing her camp stuff..
QOTD: get up, weigh myself, take my vitamins, eat breakfast, feed cats, get back in bed and check my email and read this forum (and usually post!)

I believe Karen said she would be MIA/out of touch for a while. I think where they were going next didn't have good/if any service.

As Amy said, I know they were going on another service trip (TN?) and I think they were going to be gone for 3 weeks. I was thinking the other day that it's been longer than that though. Hope they're okay.

Lazy weekend for me, leveled my hunter to 120 in World of Warcraft. Read lots, watched college football on Saturday and my Ducks beat Washington yeah! And my Seahawks beat the Raiders on Sunday, the Raiders now have my favorite player Marshawn Lynch, I hate seeing him on the other team. Oh well, Seattle has traded too many good players and have totally struggled this year. I keep threatening to no****ch, but somehow I still do.
My pouch has been disagreeable lately, won't tolerate some things and only small quantities of others. Until I get it figured out thank goodness for Syntrax Nectars and Greek yogurt.
My friend is mad at me, he called when I was in the middle of something and was upset I couldn't talk. Sure I could have handled it better, maybe just don't answer in the future. So he hasn't texted or talked to me since his all caps rant. It bothers me that he gets so angry over what to me seems unimportant. I hope he'll get over it. I don't like having people mad at me, I guess it's the I want to please everyone problem. Plus I don't have many friends, that makes it hard.
The other cat is still coming in, he really wanted attention last night and Sammy was asleep so it was OK. He eats, gets attention and leaves. Typical cat.

Surgeon, Darren Tishler
Hi!
I'm posting really late and fast because it will be Tuesday in about 8 minutes!
I had further discussion with my medical bariatric doctor, my bariatric surgeon, and my psychiatrist (I have depression) today. I've decided to give low-dose Remeron a short-term try for the continuing nausea I have when I eat solid foods.
After discussion with my psychiatrist, he assured me that if I feel like my appetite is getting crazy, I can stop the medication right away and that problem should disappear. Everyone, including me, thinks Remeron is worth a try because I'm not getting in adequate protein and fluids every day. We'll see how it goes . . .
QOTD: I have a very long history of insomnia. I usually wake up somewhere between 1 am and 3 am every day. Then I'm up for the day. So the first thing I do when I wake up is sit on the side of my bed and peek at the clock. Depending on how early it is, I may mutter some expletives. Then I sit like a zombie there for awhile until I can convince myself that I might as well get up. Sometimes, I actually fall back to sleep for 30 to 60 minutes sitting there. I finally get up, but refuse to turn on the light so I don't wake up my dog. Then I promptly loudly trip on something while heading to the bathroom!
MEALS FOR TODAY:
Under construction . . .
HAPPY TUESDAY!! It's 12:04 am.
