Whatâ??s on your Monday Menu RNYâ??ers?
Good Monday Morning!! I hope the weekend treated us all well. I shopped some with my boys, or I paid while they picked. I did order new running socks for myself, so I wasn?t totally forgotten. We?ve started looking into getting another cat. We want a friendly cat this time - mean kitty was just too mean. (Coincidence that I saw a mouse yesterday? nope!). Ugh- I hate the cold weather!
Accountability yesterday was crap. Not so much that I ate bad, but i didn?t really eat. I planned a lot but not for me. I barely got my protein goal in. That was then- new opportunities today.
qotd: what?s the first thing you do when you wake in the AM? Me- I usually lay in bed and check the news, weather, Facebook and email until the alarm goes off.

QOTD: When I first wake up, I lay there and think in my head, 'I'm going to bed earlier tonight.' Honestly, I do this every morning. Then I head for the coffee pot.

Good morning! I feel like I need another weekend day. I considered, for the first time since college, playing hooky just to have another lazy day. BUT, I know there's a pile of work on my desk that will only grow for tomorrow. So, here goes!
QotD: after using the restroom, I feed the kitties. They can sense the exact moment I open my eyes, even if the alarm hasn't gone off. They're better than an alarm some days. Then I come back and sit on my bed and contemplate for a minute before I begin getting ready
AMAW day 6!
breakfast: black coffee, 4 oz ham
lunch: chicken thigh with bbq seasoning
snack: cheddar brat
dinner: turkey meatloaf

Morning all. Rough weekend here. We had to put our cat, Holmes, down. He had gastro problems that developed into kidney disease and he was losing weight. He had stopped eating and wasn't drinking much so we let him go on Saturday. He was a difficult cat, but he could also be a real snuggle bug and loved nose-to-nose kisses. We are all (including the other cats) missing him very much.
We ended up spending the rest of the weekend just nesting. I did alot of sorting clothes for winter, packing away the summer clothes, pulling out some of the cold weather clothes, and taking things for donation. I also make a big pot of beef-veg stew that really hit the spot with the cooler weather. Mostly I just tried to stay busy.
Menu:
B: 3 oz ham
B2: Isopure C&C protein shake w/ iced coffee
S: 2 oz oast beef
L: beef stew
S: turkey breast, small apple
D: shrimp
Exercise: I have an hour with my trainer this evening.

Oh, I'm so sorry about Holmes; it's so hard to lose our pets.

Thanks. He was sick and it was time for him to go, but it is still hard.

Thanks. He certainly had attitude and when he didn't get his way, he would spray...ugh! He was the first cat I've ever had who did that and it was SO frustrating. That said, when he joined our family 3 years ago, the shelter said that they had had him as a resident 4 times and they think that he'd had at least one other home. He had serious separation anxiety and other issues but he could also be the best snuggler and kisser. We miss him very much but his life had been hard.
