G'morning all!
Happy Wednesday. Last night I thought I'd end up in ER. For dinner I had ONE drum stick. I don't know if I ate it too fast OR didn't chew enough. When it hit my stomach the pain was unbearable. I kept walking around (in the past for the minor pains walking around had helped) but it kept getting worse. In the 16 months since surgery I've never had this much pain. I tried throwing up but it was just foamie. The whole ordeal lasted about 45 minutes. I sent DS to the store to get meat tenderizer ( at one of my first WL support meetings somebody had suggested that). All of a sudden the same way the pain started it went away. I almost felt the darn piece of chicken going plop and going past wherever it was stuck. Phew!! When the whole thing was over I was actually happy to know my pouch is still working!
QOTD: I experienced this yesterday...happiness is not fitting in most of your pants, not because they are too tight but because they are getting too big. I had held on to some of my size 10 work pants because of the cost but yesterday I tried them on one after another and they look ridiculous as if I am wearing diapers.
Accountability: good, even with the one drumstick. I'll be gentler and do mostly soft food today. My throat is still raw.
B: protein coffee
L: protein shake
S: parm cheese...you can take the girl out of Italy but you can't take ....
D: depending on how I feel maybe something soft. But don't know what.
Have a great mid week everyone.

I just got the "foamies" for the first time over the weekend too...I think I must have either eaten too fast or taken too many bites but YUCK. it was the worst!

Hi, what did you do with the meat tenderizer? In case I ever need it... I'm assuming you swallow a T or so? Thanks for sharing this! So glad your feeling better. Hugs
You may also want to keep papaya enzyme tablets around. They are supposed to help too
