AMAW anyone?
Hi, I would like to join you guys and will plan to start tomorrow. I have tuna, eggs, chicken and ground beef...and if I start to run low on protein I do have protein shakes. Looking forward to doing this with you guys. :)
Sorry to butt in (I'm not doing the challenge) but I wanted to make sure you saw the guidelines. If you are doing strict AMAW no protein shakes or eggs...just meat. There is a lighter version called CAMAW that allows protein shakes or eggs. Good luck!
- Condiments are allowed: bbq sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayo, spaghetti sauce, butter, salad dressing etc etc
- Drink all your normal drinks as you would on a regular day, coffee, tea, water with flavorings, Miralax/Restoralax. This challenge is just about your meals & snacks, liquids should stay the same
Two options to choose from:
- AMAW = All Meat All Week meat option - whenever you eat a meal or a snack you eat meat, ex. the flesh of cow/pig/chicken/seafood (yes any seafood is considered meat) NO DAIRY
- CAMAW = Critter and Meat All Week option - whenever you eat a meal or snack you eat meat & critter (critter is considered: protein shakes, yogurt, cheese, eggs and for those that use milk or cream in your coffee you fall into the Critter)

Hi Cara,
I'm going to do CAMAW starting today after breakfast. (I already ate something off the plan for breakfast), before I saw that we were doing this. There may be a couple exceptions because I am eating lunch with a friend tomorrow and I will eat whatever she serves me so as not to be rude. But mainly I am going to cut out the sweets that have gotten a hold of me lately and taken over. They are definitely a very slippery slope because eating one sweet thing just makes me crave more and my weight has been slowly creeping up.

Oh I know what you mean, Karen! Sugar always makes me crave more, then more, then even more! I had a terrible appetite for sweets. Even if you need to make an exception for a meal, I am glad you will otherwise join us on AMAW/CAMAW. You will kick those cravings to the curb and reverse that weight gain creep!

Good for you, Karen! It usually took me 3 days after eliminating sugar to quell my cravings. I suspect that's probably a sign of a degree of light physiological addiction, or some level of allergic reaction!
Do you think Saralisa might keep the pastries and other sweets she likes in her room, or maybe in the garage, or at any rate, somewhere out of your line of sight? Or maybe in a lockable box? I could see how having all that stuff constantly around could make things unnecessarily harder!
