YAY!! We made it to Friday!! Long weekend for me and our Canadian friends. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving- share your Thanksgiving Day plans with us.

i actually have plans this weekend. An appointment with the school counselor to discuss high school options, an alumni lunch cruise with my hubby and Monday he had tickets to some orchestra performance. I feel like such a grown up :-)

my menu sucked yesterday-- horribly. I've been mulling over some things I need to change over the next fees weeks, but I need to go small scale/simple. So goal today is to not eat a carb. Specifically the types of carbs I've been indulging in to frequent (fun size candy, pumpkin anything, or bread). I'll tLe it day by day for now- the idea of anything longer seems overwhelming.

Qotd: since we're in a Thanksgiving season- what are you Thankful for? I'm thankful for a general feeling of peace I have within my little family. Things are easy/steady now, my boys are good and easy going. Hubby and I are on solid ground-- peace, I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

no weight/not up. 3.5 years out

M1: egg, turkey sausage

m2: Greek yogurt/berries

m3: bourbon chicken chunks

m4: salmon and salad

my pic is from two weeks ago- at an awards ceremony for work:

Morning Peach & Co! LOOOOOVE your dress--you look great!

I have missed you guys so much. Life is pretty bananas in my first year as a school principal. My day starts before 4am every day and ends well after 8pm--and most days I still have hundreds of unread emails! Every day is an adventure. Yesterday alone had everything from angry parents, a kid locked in a closet, and a knife fight. Ahhh! But today is a Professional Development day with NO KIDS and a late start. Yessss :)

My weight has stayed exactly the same since I started school, but even though I am incredibly active all day (I usually have upwards of 20,000 steps), I am not exercising and I feel very flabby. My pants are tight and I just generally feel unfit. I definitely let little treats sneak in more than I should. Nothing too egregious, but kids and teachers are always dropping a treat on my desk and sometimes I indulge. Now I see that if I am not going to exercise, I am going to have to stop the little treats. The number on the scale is only 1/2 of the battle.

QOTD: Grateful for everything. Love my job, love my family & love my amazing boyfriend who is keeping me sane and alive right now :)

Grim and I are leaving tonight for a trip to visit his brother & sil in Norfolk VA and we are going to visit Colonial Williamsburg while we are there. Yay for a mini vacation! Not sure what will be for dinner because we will be on the road... Here is what the rest of the day should look like:

B: 2 eggs

S: almonds & babybel cheese

L: greek yogurt

D: ??

Photo Friday is a "who wore it best"? Me and a teacher found ourselves wearing the same thing from head to toe :)

And me with my amazing office managers :)

Morning Julia! I think of you often and hope that you are hanging in. Glad to hear that you are holding your weight steady but yeah, no exercise can still be a bummer.

Enjoy your vacay and hugs to Grim!

I was so happy to see your post - it made my day!! You are very missed around here!! Glad things are going well - but those hours - UGH! I'm sure that's part of being a school principal, though. Have a great trip this weekend. I have not been to Colonial Williamsburg in probably 45 years!

Happy Friday all!

Shauna, you look great in your purple dress!

I am up and working hard at my computer but I got to sleep in for almost an hour because I am teleworking today! I'm also taking off at noon and will work out with my trainer and then have fun with DW this afternoon, maybe go swimming! I've been working lots of extra hours so I'm taking some extra time to be will DW to make up for it.

Accountability: I too have been indulging in too many BLT's. Pumpkin everything season is especially hard for me because I love all things pumpkin! I did well resisting yesterday but this will be a hard time through the holiday season.

QOTD: I struggle with feeling like I am losing DW. Her memory and cognition is really not good and it can be very frustrating and sad. I feel very grateful for our years together (13+) and that even now we are able to enjoy doing thing together. I am also very grateful for the things that my new strong body can do even though I feel old sometimes!

Menu:

I've only had coffee and 5 almonds so far. I need to get up and eat something soon. My menu is pretty up in the air for today but it will definitely include some ham and hopefully a steak plus a protein shake or two.

Exercise: an hour with my trainer (who is pushing me HARD!) and maybe some swimming.

Dear Janet, that must be so hard to see DW failing. My heart goes out to you.
