I have a thyroid but am hypothyroid and take medicine for many years. It did not slow my weight loss,

I am the reverse of most people though, my medicine has been increased I am assuming from malabsorption

My response was meant to focus on "into control" related to being at the right therapeutic blood levels of the drug. The surgery likely will impact your current control level and may take some time to get back into control. The folks I mentioned were able to lose weight, but they did have some struggles with drug titration after surgery for some time. Stay focused with your endo on that. Many answers here related to how this impacts your weight loss, but I think the issue will be the other side-issues related to being out of range with the necessary drug levels in your body.

Good luck
