Be careful ... I see some red flag thinking here. In your original post, you ask about eating cod because you find the food you're eating as boring. Food isn't entertainment, and right now you are eating on a newly altered digestive system. You've described eating bowls of jello with addiction, eat so much of it all day, whole bowl, etc.

I get that the Jell-o is basically water based, and I assume sugar-free. It's also taking up space where nutrition and protein should hold. I also understand having the feelings you are describing about food and eating.

As someone who has been there and definitely who has a food addiction -- I strongly encourage you to work on how you think about food, eating, and your relationship with it. Then really think about how those attitudes about food got us to the point of needing major surgery to deal with its consequences.

NOW is the time to make long term changes, find new coping devices, and seek help if needed. There will never be a time better than this to change how you see eating/food.

This is really the difference between those who not only reach their real goals, but also maintain long term.

I eat the 4 ounce package jello. Food doesn't sit well with me most of the time but that's why I'm searching for options because I need to get more protein in. And eating mash everyday does get boring, I'm sorry if that makes people think I have a bad mindset (I don't) but its the truth, I can bored with eating the same thing everyday, all day. I just added one egg for breakfast and lunch to the mix as well as pickles (inside only). I go to the doctor today and hopefully they will change my diet again. I'm down 24lbs in three weeks, this is the first time in a long time that I'm dropping weight like this so trust me I won't do anything to ruin that for myself.

Please be aware that you won't "drop weight like this" forever. Most people see this sort of rapid loss during the first two or three weeks, and afterwards it slows down to a steady pound or two per week for the first year.

I know, thats why I don't want a scale at home so I'm not stressing over the weight loss or lack of. I just meant that I haven't been able to do this on my own and to see such a significant difference in a short time frame will keep me controlled. I have been walking everyday now, signed up for the gym, doing things I didnt really focus on before because i want this for myself. As i've been told before and I constantly remind myself now, WLS was only a tool, I'm ultimately what gets me to where I want to be.
