G'morning all!

Day two of AMAW done and I'm ready for day 3. During the night I made a huge crockpot pulled pork. This morning we all woke up to the yummy aroma. DS took a sandwich to school, he likes it on Hawaiian bread.

QOTD: I left it to my surgeon. When he realized most of my weight is due to sweets he recommended RNY because of the consequences. In short he said we can't trust you not to eat sweets so we do the RNY and you won't be able to eat them due to dumping. And he was right. I'm very happy with his choice.

Accountability : perfect

B: turkey links + tons of coffee

L: pulled pork

S: tuna

D: more pulled pork

Have a great hump day!

They are called Kona bread here. I haven't tried them but DH & DS won't eat anything else but those when making sandwiches.

No planned exercise for me today... but instead I get to go to the dentist and discuss major surgery to fix my open bite! yay? Not really. I have grown to like it, it is part of who I am. But I am told now that the weight loss and oral appliance aren't helping the sleep apnea, so it must be the bad jaw structure. Apparently the open bite might also be contributing to my migraines. Why did no one mention this before?!

Qotd: I am super happy with my choice of Rny. I am still relatively new but I sorta don't understand why some people get so rabid about their choice of surgery for other people. It seems like sleeve, rny or ds are valid choices and really depend on surgeon and cir****tance.

Accountability: yesterday was odd. I hit all my goals, didn't eat off plan, got all exercise in. Really pretty good, I even dropped another lb this morning to hit 206. But my timing was terrible. I ate dinner soooo late. I picked up my husband at almost 9pm (mistake 1, I should have eaten alone), then when we got home a dog ran through our yard and we spent about 45 minutes helping him find his people. The whole thing left my tummy cranky.

Bf: 2 vanilla protein pancakes, 1t margarine, 1/4 cup sugar free syrup

MS: premier protein shake

L: 1serving realgood pizza (maybe)

AS: ostrim meat stick (my new flavors arrive today!)

D: leftover naked pulled pork, 6 triscuits

A protein water at some point

Goals: 1000 calories, 100g protein, 100oz water, 1hour treadmill, all vitamins.

Good morning,

My friend made it through her total hip replacement surgery yesterday, so I'm happy.

Qotd I had vsg 4 years ago. If I had to do over I probably would of choose the DS to have the malabsorption since I have a problem with sweets since my surgery. I never made it to goal.

B ham and cheese omelette, string cheese and English muffin

L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple

D bacon cheddar beef burger and broccoli

Have a good day

Is revising to the DS an option for you (or will insurance not pay)? The sleeve is the first part of a DS.

Congrats on the scale moving, and how enticing it is to be so close to Onederland! You'll be there in no time!

Good morning! Fall is here in the PNW and I am loving it. Rain is coming this weekend, so its time to bring the patio furniture in for the season.

My husband just called me and he is coming home a day early. He has been out of town working this week. I have not been sleeping well and neither has he. I am looking forward to seeing him.

QOTD- Initially, I wanted to sleeve. I went to the WLS information group and decided on the RNY. I am a data girl and RNY has been the gold standard for a long time. My surgeon said that people lose more on the RNY. I am not sure if I agree with that though, because on OH, I see lots of people that are very successful.

Accountability- Yesterday was great, dense protein is where its at!!!

Plan for today-

Just crack and egg cup

4 oz shredded chicken with salsa

1/2 c. cottage cheese

grilled halibut

I feel like my menu is boring and I tend to eat the same thing, but that's okay. I run into trouble when I don't have a plan. I am really trying to lose more weight, not just maintain.

Lots of water and vitamins always.

670 calories, 8 carbs, 94 protein
