Morning Pouch Peeps! First day of October, fall is slowly rolling into being. I changed out my clothes this weekend from summer stuff to winter stuff. It still 70's here during the day but I'm pretty sure shorts and tanks season is behind us. It was a really relaxing day for me yesterday. Today at work we are starting a new firefighter cadet class. I love the start of a new class- it's like seeing kindergarteners start out in a military camp. Its amazing how much they've changed by the time the graduate.

qotd: what's the oddest thing you've seen in someone's home?

Me: at my in-laws house they have a wall covered in obituaries (the program from the funeral- not death announcements). Its creepy to look at. Actually there whole house has issues, but that wall is just weird. I'm anal about what gets hung on walls- I don't like photographs hung in general- I hate having eyes stare at you. Photos are for shelves IMO.

No weight yet- not up, 3.5 years out

m1: egg, ham, cheese stick

m2: protein bar, yogurt & berries

m3: 1/2 ham sandwich ??- I need something portable since I'll be out and about today

m4: meatloaf and veggies

Good Morning Peach and Menuers,

The weekend was gorgeous in Ocean City! What they say about drinking after wls is true, it doesn't take much. We had a great time away and are refreshed and ready for a new week.

QOTD: The weirdest thing I have seen in someone's house is stuffed animals they had shot. They hunt - deer, bear, fox, snakes, etc. Weirded me out enough that I stayed outside (we were there for a bday party.) I just don't get it.

9 months out; weight 169

I didn't go to bed early enough last night because I stayed up with DH watching Won't You Be My Neighbor? The Mr. Rogers documentary. It was good! But I'm paying for it lol

qotd: I can't think of anything weird, or that I thought was actually that weird, but I have been inside some serious hoarder houses, stuff piled up so high you had to strategize a path to walk through, and smells I didn't want to contemplate.

breakfast: coffee and HWC

lunch: Egg and cottage cheese "salad"

snack: 3 oz deli turkey

dinner: steak fajita (no shell)

I know what you mean about the end of shorts and tanks for the year. Even when it has been 70 recently I'm still putting on jeans and at minimum a tee, but often a longer sleeved one with the arms pushed up. I started packing up my shorts and tees for Florida. We will ship them, but I am trying to minimize the cost. I have a smaller box packed which I am going to have them weigh, then I'm going to ask for the cost of a box 2.5 times bigger in dimension and weight. The relative price will determine whether to ship a bunch of smaller boxes or 2 big ones.

QOTD: The house I remember feeling weird about was a house we looked at when house hunting. The wallpaper on the wall was a 1960's pattern that seemed to match the dresses of their 5-6 teenage daughters in pictures on the wall. That seemed creepy to me though I generally don't have a problem with portraits on the wall. Oh and one of the houses we did buy had a kitchen with orange plaid wallpaper with large brown snowflakes superimposed and brown plaid wallpaper on the ceiling. Needless to say, we redid that kitchen in the first year.

Accountability: Good yesterday, but I'm up few pounds (snuck up during the summer). I'm still under goal, but don't like the extra few. I need to get a working plan in place to drop them to pre-summer weight. We are out to dinner at least 4 times this week, so that isn't going to help. I can handle once a week pretty easily but 4 is too much.

2.5 Years post-op (maintaining below goal for 22 months)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Tuna, pickles and cottage cheese

D: ? (have a cruise/dinner tonight)

S: veggies and hummus

I need to really analyze where I've been with calories over the summer. Prior to that I was pretty religiously averaging at around 1350 which kept me at 115-118 @5'3" (including coffee creamers, etc). I know I've averaged higher of late including a lot of days when I didn't track such as on my trip (hence the gain). I'll let you know when I figure out how much higher (which I probably need to do to get control over it).

So after writing this, I had to analyze! For the entire period I was weighing in at 115-118, I was averaging at 1350 calories a day. From June-today, I averaged 1500 calories a day. So that extra 150 a day over 17 weeks equates to 17,850 extra calories. If a pound is 3500 calories, that would mean I should have gained about 5 pounds, which is essentially where I am!

So to lose the 5 pounds, if I get down to an average of 1000 calories a day, that would be a deficit of 350 calories per day, so it would take about 50 days or 7 weeks to get back into my range. Hmmm...

I was more curious than anything- the macros people had me at 1550 with lifting weights 5-6 times per week and walking, and I was gaining... so I was wondering where you were on calories. I'm currently shooting for 1100 and have been losing though very slowly... I have to balance the deficit and not freaking out and having a binge episode. I was told I didn't have BED but would easily eat 2 protein bars then 2 hours later eat more usually when I couldn't sleep or was really tired.

I know what you mean about meals out. We have a pretty active social life, and unfortunately, much of it seems to revolve around meals out. More than one or two a week can be deadly. Fortunately, this will be a light week - I think I just have one this week (lunch today with two friends)
