I shop thrift a lot now and if I see something in good condition in a smaller size I grab it! I have a lot of clothes "on standby" for when I can fit in them. Go for the suit jacket!

Good morning! I'm REALLY enjoying my fleece sheets now that the nights are cooling down. We still have our bedroom window cracked so it gets cold in the bedroom, but snuggling down in those sheets and blankets with a pile of cats...thank god for my bladder or i'd probably never leave :P even the cats waited until 6:30 to wake me up for breakfast. They're normally crying at 5. I fed them then went back to bed!

heading to the farmers market to meet up with some friends. I don't need anything but I enjoy the sights and the walking (our farmers market is huge, 3-4 city blocks). Then I'm checking out a cat cafe that just opened here! Kitties!

Qotd: 7 months out, I think I'm at a stage where the NSVs just keep coming. I squeezed into a pair of size 14s yesterday, though I blame vanity sizing on that, as I'm just barely wearing 16s (and my other 14s don't fit). I can sit comfortably in booths at restaurants. I went to a high school play Friday night and was comfortable in my seat, with room on the sides. I even nonchalantly crossed my legs while watching and didn't even notice that I'd done so until I needed to shift (it was a LONG play). I'm regularly shopping in the regular sized section, with mixed feelings and frustrations. I never realized that an XXL is not the same as a 2x...or sometimes not even a 1X! So I still get frustrated when a XXL won't fit somewhere, but I'll go to anlother store and wear an XL just fine.

Breakfast: coffee with HWC

2nd breakfast: sometimes there's a farm-fresh egg omelette vendor at the market. If he's there I might order one.

lunch: if I have the omelette it will be brunch, and I'll likely eat the second part of it in the afternoon. If I do not have an omelette, I'll have turkey and cottage cheese for lunch

dinner: either leftover chili or I might save that for lunches this week and make tilapia.

I can officially call this a lazy weekend. I am still in bed for the third day in a row. Today my husband is still asleep too. The rest of the day doesn't get to be that lazy though. We have a little ones birthday party to go to, followed by the final clean up at the pool. It should still be a good day though, just not as much time in my sewing room.

Qotd: My favorite NSV is definitely being able to do more exercises in both pilates and training! There are still some things I have to be careful of because of my bad back, otherwise nothing stops me! "Oh, you want me to do mountain climbers! I got this!" There were so many things I couldn't do before, not because I wasn't strong enough, but because I had this large belly in the way. I physically could not bring my knees up. It is so easy now!

Accountability: Very good again! I am on a roll! And that includes making a dessert, I didn't taste any of it. Glad my husband did though... "this crust doesn't taste right", forgot to add sugar. Easy fix.

Bf: 2 vanilla protein pancakes (made with cottage cheese and fairlife milk, supposed to be a keto recipe with butter, and whipping cream...I made it bariatric friendly instead!)

MS: babybel

L: 4oz siggi's yogurt, 37g Julian's bakery pro granola

AS: premier protein shake, shrewd food protein puffs

D: Naked pulled pork and Cole slaw from the fresh start Bariatric cookbook

Maybe a small bite of birthday cake if it looks like something different

Goals: 1000 calories, 100g protein, 100oz water, 1hour treadmill, all vitamins

It's very late to be posting, but here I am regardless!

Happy Sunday, my RnY friends!

Yesterday was weird diet-wise - I visited my son and DIL and they had ordered Indian food for lunch. I dug out a few pieces of chicken and lamb, as I didn't want all of the extras. It was good, and though I'm unsure of the sauces, there was only a thin coating on the meat I ate. Then I went out with a guy who had invited me to dinner. Though he had asked me where I wanted to go and what I liked to eat ( "just about any seafood;chicken, pretty simply prepared, neither with heavy sauces; a good steak, with a small side of salad or vegetables") he selected - get this - a vegetarian Thai restaurant. I dug a few mushrooms, eggplant, and broccoli out of the heavy coconut-sweet sauces. I have always liked various different cuisines, but as a post-op I am pretty narrow and specific about what I like. He didn't know that I had had WLS and I was not interested in telling him that, but I found his decision strange, and slightly selfish, given what I had voiced. There were a couple of other noticeable ungentlemanly moments at the restaurant. Otherwise the evening was fine. I'm trying to have a positive attitude about dating in general and to enjoy myself with no rush or pressure! And to set the bar high, without being ridiculous. I want to see the best in others, I know I tend to be very picky when it comes to men, and I am trying to be open and happy, but also grounded and realistic.

QOTD: This has been true for quite a while, but it's really nice to have a distinct thigh gap rather than thighs which rub together uncomfortably, or which make a swishing noise when walking, due to my pant legs rubbing together. Also - I am so happy to be enjoying high heels and tall pretty boots again. I wasn't able to wear high boots when I was very heavy because my calves were too stout, and I didn't feel stable enough on heels and stuck to flats. I still like flats, but I really love my heels and boots!

First: several mugs of tea

B: tuna

L: more tuna, with melted Swiss cheese

D: a fluffy microwave egg, or maybe two!

Have a lovely Sunday evening, my friends!
