My Dad's mother was born on Halloween and she was not witch unless you count that she was great in the kitchen!

Good morning everyone and TGIF~ I slept well last night! I figured out why I wasn't sleeping - it wasn't that I was overwhelmed with so much work and personal stuff to do, it was that I wasn't organized. I spent yesterday organizing, planning and prioritizing and feel so much better! Ahhhh, now I can get on with life! I haven't worked out in 7 whole days - being sick, tired and busy will do it to you... The 5 pounds I gained when I started going to the gym are gone. I hear it all the time that you gain weight at the gym - I'm thinking the weight training and cardio?? My plan was to build the best body possible, but I think I need to wait to be at goal and maintain first - then go there. I'm so close - only 10 pounds away but I'm having a hard time getting there and this isn't helping. Anyway - I will still swim, do yoga, pilates and walk/hike for now.

QOTDSheila - The most difficult thing I've ever done is also the thing I am most proud of - being a single mom and raisng a wonderful son with a heart of gold!

QOTDKaren - I used to love just the cute Halloween, but since being with DH, he has turned me on to 'lighter' horror movies and makes spooky and scary kinda fun!. It's his favorite holiday!

Accountability - great - 155.4 - yay

b- venti latte on the drive into work- omg - I'm so full and bloated right now....

l-yurkey, lite havarti, pickle

d-eggbeater omlette w/onion, green chili, cheese

es-jello or yoguyrt if I need protein

v/l - on track

e - not today

Have a wonderful day all~

So glad you were able to get some sleep Amy! I get thrown off too when disorganization reaches critical mass!

Your love for your son always comes through, whether through your written words or the pics. He is one lucky boy.

Our heat gets turned on today! Which would have been great two weeks ago. Today is supposed to be in the 80's though. Oh well, as long as he doesn't need to run the heat too long when testing the system.

My picture is of the stuff I made last week at the sewing retreat!

Qotd: The toughest decision I have ever made was definitely moving from east coast to west coast with my then boyfriend, now husband. I had nothing really keeping me in MA except parents and the various jobs I was working. But, he and I had only been together 7 months when it came time to make the decision. Although the first year in CA was really hard and we both hated it, I never once regretted the decision though! Now that we are in WA state, I am crazy happy that I made that jump!

Accountability: Good except for a small tablespoon of chocolate chips. Where did that come from!?!

Today...I am not even out of bed yet so I don't know my menu yet... probably similar to yesterday though.

Goals: 1000 calories, 100g protein, 100oz water, 1hour treadmill, all vitamins!

Your sewing retreat sounds like lots of fun! I have a new sewing machine - I really want to learn to sew.

It was a blast! I definitely suggest taking some classes. If the dealer where you got your machine (or plan to have it serviced) offers classes take them! Also YouTube is a gold mine for good tutorials for a lot of machines :-D

Good ideas! I have an old - seriously, it's ancient - short, stretchy, pull-on high waisted velour skirt that I just love. It's brilliantly darted, fits well, looks slimming, and is super comfy. I'd like to copy it and make a duplicate or two, in dark wine red velour, and in very dark sapphire velour. My original is black. Anyway, I just discovered that my machine has an overclock stitch! Similar to serging. So I can sew this stretchy knit!
