QOTD: Definitely real books, I have a room full but have stopped buying them and now use my tablet for reading. I love the library and get most books using Overdrive Media on my tablet. I could fit my entire book collection on my tablet and have room to spare. When I used to go on vacation I would pack more books than anything else, now I just need my tablet.

I had my PT session yesterday and I'm hoping the vertigo is really gone this time. Keep your fingers crossed. It has been such a drain on my energy and has kept me from doing so many things. I really want to get back to normal... I need to mow my lawn but I think it will be too hot today it's supposed to get up to 86. It's supposed to be cooler by Saturday so it can wait, or I might be able to fit it in tomorrow.

Good morning ~ I slept better last night, but still a bit restless. I don't know what's going on because usually I am blessed with great sleep. Work has been overwhelming... playing catch up w/a million meetings is a not easy - that's probably it. I'm definitely in a funk - it's effecting my mood and controlling my thoughts - not good. Hopefully I will make some progress before the weekend so I can get past this funk, relax and sleep like a baby again!

QOTD - Honestly, I don't read books much but when I do I prefer the real thing. There is a feel and that book scent - different for old and new and I love them both.

Accountability - great

Morning all! Happy Thursday!

The last couple of nights of full moon have been remarkably gorgeous. What a beautiful world we live in!

I'm still lying down after having situated the cats with fresh water and food, so haven't weighed yet. Yesterday's weight was 153.4. Just 3.5 pounds to my first goal, and just 8 more beyond that to my second goal! So close, yet compared to earlier months, so slow to reach! This requires resolve! Luckily, I am a stubborn character.

Also luckily, I wasn't especially hungry yesterday and was able to resume my standard caloric intake level without climbing the walls! It's kind of strange how consuming hunger can be. I'm glad it normalized.

QOTD: I like both. Even after jettisoning literally hundreds and hundreds of books before I moved, I still kept a good sized library. I simply love books! I love the way they look and feel, and I have always loved to read. I also frequently read on my kindle, but prefer good old fashioned books. I do enjoy audiobooks, and often listen to them while working. But today I will have the news on all day as I work, to watch the Kavanaugh and Ford hearings - I have been absolutely riveted by this.

First: 3 huge mugs of tea

B: an egg, microwave scrambled in a cup, with some melted Chipotle gouda

L: tuna

D: turkey breast, with a little nonfat plain Greek yogurt as a condiment to help it to down without discomfort

S: if necessary, a bit more turkey

Have a wonderful day, my friends!

It really is. As someone who also experienced an extreme assault at the same age as Dr. Ford was during the experience she has related, I have actually had a very emotional response to how this has been handled over the past few weeks. I have been feeling deeply and terribly disappointed. We will see how this all develops now. I'm watching as I type.

I'm sorry to hear you went through that, Cara. Unfortunately - so did I and sadly, many women I know have - more than not I'm afraid. I've been in meetings all morning so I need to catch up.

Love you Amy , and I'm so sorry that you went through that. I'm sorry for all of us. I know you know this, but the stats on this type of thing are simply staggering. I feel that this particular hearing being conducted today should never have gotten to this point. I really wish that for the good of everyone, this had been thoroughly, fully and properly investigated on a far less public stage before it ever got to this terrible and horribly polarizing point.
