What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
Good Morning! Peach, I can understand why those events would put you in a bad mood, both of those situations are just awful. I hope things improve soon.
QOTD: Not in school, I only took a few semesters in college (I got married 2 days after I graduated high school) and then just ended up taking data entry jobs and have made my way to where I am now. I am happy where I am but worry if I ever had to leave the company I am at now (since 2002) that I would have to start at the bottom again.

I plan on chewing a piece of chicken until its nothing because I can't do puree meats, I tried and regurgitated everything. What have others done to get the protein in when you can't do puree?
My nutritionist is out until Friday, I remember her saying no to beans so I have to ask her when she returns.
No but please tell me the details. I need to find something I can hold down. I was placed on that puree diet yesterday and I've thrown up twice (ten mins ago being the second time), I'm thinking maybe I over ate but that was at 7am which is almost three hours ago. Yesterday I threw up the beef stew but that was puree so I can understand that.
So sorry you are having a rough time. Hang in there and I would say contact your surgeon/team if you continue to throw up. Also very important to make sure you're staying hydrated (just follow the rules you were given as to when to stop drinking around your meals). Here is a link to eggfaces blog post on pureed foods. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods.html
Many of us were told that beef should be the last thing you try at 6 months or a year. Beef is really hard for the pouch to digest so that isn't a good probably a good option right now.
