I'm so glad they found the problem and corrected it!

Good morning! I just checked the clock and I can just sneak under the Tuesday wire in the states!

qotd - honestly, I would pick my mom. We don't have an easy relationship and I wonder if I could be in her brain for a day, could I change that?

Accountability - mixed - I've done really well the last couple of days but I did take a risk and try a coffee granita -- turns out it was unsweetened so I didn't have any issues but I had prepped myself that if it was sweet, it was a one bite and done. I was pleased it was safe! I also had about half an ounce of wine last night after dinner once we were back at "home". Our Airbnb came with an interior courtyard/patio so it was a serene oasis for our last night in Rome. Now that I've had my wine in Italy, back on the straight and narrow!

There are fresh water fountains everywhere here so it's been easy to stay hydrated, except yesterday when we spent all day in one church or another -- only water there was the holy water and I think they frown on drinking that! Today, I'm going to drink a lot of water to catch back up!

Excercise - we are averaging about 9 miles walking a day and yesterday registered 49 flights (we climbed to the top of St Peter's Basilica) so I am feeling pretty good about exercise!

b - 1 oz parmesan and 1 oz sausage (left overs from dinner last night)

black tea and espressos whenever I can find them

lunch - I've been alternating between caprese salad and meatballs so we'll see which one is available, we take the train to Venice this morning so it will be new culinary options!

dinner - protein heavy option

here's a photo from the top of St Peter's Basilica. I would not have attempted the 550 steps (the elevator was broken) this time last year! Not just because my knees would not have taken it but also because the narrow spiral stairs probably would not have fit my hips! I was so excited I didn't even have to think about whether to do it or not! (Although to be 100% honest, I did pick the elevator assisted version first -- only 200+ stairs but once they said the elevator was broken, it was an easy swap!

I so loved Italy and would go back in a heartbeat (we went in 2011). I had forgotten the water fountains in Rome!

Well it is the end of the day... in fact an east coast person could start Wednesday's menu, but I am here. Today just snowballed out of control. First I woke up early to put my bite adjuster in, then promptly fell back a sleep. Luckily not for too long but not how I wanted to start the day. Then pilates, personal training, a craft day at a friend's house, an hour drive home followed by an hour on the treadmill, then my husband came home and we worked on paperwork.

Qotd: My husband's... he doesn't talk a lot so I never know what he is thinking. Not sure I would even want a full day. But just to see myself as he sees me and to understand how he is feeling with the news about his dad and everything going on.

Accountability: okay. No treadmill Monday though... not good.

Menu was good today even eating at a friend's house for lunch. Not going to type it all out though since the day is really done. But here are my stats

1105 calories, 123g protein, 106oz water, 3 hours exercise total, all vitamins!
