My sewing retreat is over and I am completely exhausted. But, I am also super motivated! I spent last night finishing the piecing together of Christmas mug rugs that I will be sending out with Christmas cookies and tea. Nothing like being ahead on at least once project.

Qotd: I am not sure really. I never made the ricotta bake, but that is more because I am still trying other things. When I am doing something new I don't hesitate to copy people with more experience! I guess maybe putting premier protein in coffee. But that is more because I am still staying off of caffeine.

Accountability: ...... Baaaaaad.... a weekend with so much going on, no time to exercise, no water near the sewing machines, food provided, plus a pool closing party that I hosted and provided dessert for. Back to work today though! Not dwelling on it!

Bf: premier protein shake, 1/2 slice Dave's killer bread powerseed thin, 1/2t margarine, 1t sugar free preserves

MS: babybel

L: 1 serving realgood pizza, 4 triscuits

AS: protein water

D: homemade ricotta pesto chicken, 3 beets

Goals: 1000 calories, 100g protein, 100oz water, 1hour treadmill, all vitamins.

Morning all, happy Monday!

Thank you Peach for launching us today.

I haven't weighed yet - last night was tough sleeping since my blind and deaf cat howled every half hour or so. She thought it was daytime and kept trying to rouse me to begin our morning rituals. Picking her up and soothing her lasted only as long as I continued to pet her, if I fell asleep she'd jump off the bed and stalk around again, complaining at high volume, in inimitable Siamese fashion. I love her but I do wish she would sleep through the night! Anyway it's almost 9 am here but I'm still lazing in bed, and am tired.

Yesterday I was down .4 of a pound - hopefully that was the beginning of my stall breaking!

QOTD: I haven't yet made the ricotta bake, but it sounds good. I like the Bariatric Fusion Cinnamon Buns protein powder, but for me, the other shake flavors have lost all of their charm. The other thing I have not gotten into is to reject all artificial sweeteners, as per my surgeon's directive. I just can't do it, especially now, when I am keeping carbs under 20, which rules out all but a handful of low-carb berries for sweetness. I do love SF syrups drizzled in my tea, coffee, and yogurt! I'm going to pick up some pumpkin flavors. I went to the Dollar Tree store nearby to pick up some pens, which are always vanishing into the ether in my house. I saw that they had some sugar free syrups, the Cafe Al Fresco brand. The vanilla (the only flavor I tried) is quite good, and you can't beat the price. On Amazon these little bottles are around $12 each - $1 is a much better price.

First: 6 cups (3 huge mugs) of tea - a delicious if waterlogged way to start the day!

B: an egg, with a little smoked gouda melted in

L: ham

D: salmon with Cajun seasoning

S: nonfat plain Greek yogurt with a few blueberries

Have yourselves some fun today, my friends!

Cara, I love the Torani SF syrups. They have the pumpkin pie (for the season) that's so yum. I also like their brown sugar cinnamon. Would you say I have an addiction? ;)

I feel like we are giving up so much, what's the big deal with sweeteners? I use stevia - supposedly the most natural one.

Sheila, I'm with you! I love the Torani syrups too. My favorite is the SF Salted Caramel - wow, is that ever delicious! I haven't seen some of these others, but I am going to hunt them down now and try them!

I love the brown sugar cinnamon! I put that in my pumpkin protein shakes (along with a few shakes of pumpkin pie spice). It works just as well as the Torani Pumpkin Pie syrup (which is seasonal - and even then, a lot of places are always out of it...)
