What's on your Sunday Menu RNY'ers
It's Sunday and it should be an easy day-- but the mental list of errands and what I should try and get ahead of for work is growing and growing! Something will most certainly be dropped, my thinking about it vs. Execution of it never sees eye to eye :-) I'm also prepping my mind for my run- longer run today and it's supposed to rain, I'm getting tired of the wet runs. At least it'll be light this time.
qotd: tell us about your tech! Tablet- laptop, desktop, apple, android... some of the above of none of the above? Or do you still look for pay phones and write in steno pads?
so yesterday I upgraded to the new iPhone Xs. I'm not one who has to have the latest and greatest- but I had the 7 and it was just time to move up. I usually go for a lower model since the prices dropped, but the price difference was negligible between the X and Xs. It's definitely faster, more screen space and adjusting to no home button has been effortless. I have an iPad mini too- but no laptop/desktop. I rely on my work desktop or will use hubby's laptop if I need to do something too involved for my iPad mini.

Good Morning Menuers,
Peach, have a great run. I used to run until I tore cartilage in my hip and then I gain a lot of weight and it was a ridiculous thought to run. Now that I am feeling better about myself, I think I would like to try it again - just not be so crazy about it. I remember the thoughts of long runs and what a great feeling I had when accomplishing them.
QOTD: I have a laptop but I use my phone more.
I got my haircut yesterday and I think I am liking it. I went with something with a side bang so that is what I am trying to get used to. We also cleaned the flower beds and got mums and pumpkins for my mother-in-law. It only took us an hour but I am feeling it this morning. I think I have been pushing myself too much because my belly button incision aches.
Today I am meal prepping for the week, doing laundry and cleaning. I need to get a mani & pedi but I don't think that is going to happen today. I just opened the windows because it is truly feeling like fall and I can hear the roosters crowing - LOL
B: 1/2 c. greek yogurt & 1/4 c. Fiber One twigs *edit* Hubby wanted waffles so I made protein waffles instead and took out the PP shake because I had a glass of milk.
L: small bowl of chicken enchilada soup (it's in the crockpot now and smells delightful!)
S: 1/2 Honeycrisp apple
D: copycat Chipotle bowl - quinoa, chicken, lettuce, onion, a dap of corn salsa, a sprinkle of cheese and a teaspoon of sour cream
Enjoy your Sunday!

Good morning. It is cool here right now and supposed to be cloudy but no rain, so we will probably go somewhere to walk with Justice.
QOTD: I love tech gadgets but have never been even close to the forefront. I have an iPhone 7, a relatively new iPad with lots of memory and a MacBook Air. I love how they integrate together. But compared to my family (including my kids), I am way ahead (LOL).

Good morning,
Yesterday I worked on my online classes for work but still didn't get it done. There was more than I expected. Plus I had to recharge my iPad. Guess that will be what I'm working on today, not what I wanted to do. I have to have it done by tomorrow to get paid for it. I found out on Friday about the pay because I thought I would have to the 30th to get it done.
Qotd I have a iPad and my android phone. Don't look for a pay phone due not too many available. I still write things down on paper due to not trusting my phone won't be available ( losing it or phone quits working) and losing my information.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and honeycrisp apple
D keto lasagna and potato salad
Have a good day
Good morning! Yesterday we went to the applejack festival here in Nebraska City. It was a lot of fun touring orchards and we watched a huge machine make apple cider and there was a parade. I did have a cup of apple cider in the chilly morning and sampled a fresh baked apple cider donut later in the afternoon, but my other food was protein, so I say I did well and I was ok with allowing myself the seasonal treats. I had apple-smoked bbq pulled pork for lunch and a smoked apple sausage for dinner. We also walked close to 7 miles according to my Fitbit.
today we are running a 5k for a congenital heart defect charity in honor of my cousin for her birthday, and going out for birthday dinner tonight.
qotd: I have an iPhone 8 and a laptop, but I primarily use my phone for most things. I still do photo editing and writing on the laptop.
breakfast: scrambled eggs for breakfast
lunch will be something light like a yogurt before the race.
Snack: I'm taking some jerky to eat after the run. There will be food vendors at the event but I don't know what it will be.
Dinner: Japanese steakhouse, so I'll stick to the protein and veg and pass on the rice and noodles

Mornin'!
We went to a wedding yesterday (and the reception last night) and I overdid it. I felt awful. I still feel bloated this morning, even though my weight is still under 150. I need to really watch it the next few days - too many lunches out last week, plus that reception last night. I'm damn lucky my weight is still OK...
I'm supposed to meet a friend for brunch at 10:30. I'll get the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin (if it's anything like an Egg McMuffin, that's around 300 calories and lots of protein - but I can ditch the English muffin if this thing looks like a bit much. I was hoping for a yogurt parfait, but there isn't one on the menu. But calorie-wise, this breakfast sandwich may be about the same...
we have a board meeting for an organization I co-chair later on this afternoon. Otherwise...?? I need to do some reading for a class I signed up for that starts this week, so there's that...
QOTD: I have an old Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S5), a small Windows laptop (11" screen), and a Samsung tablet. I really don't like doing things on the phone because the screen is too small and my eyes are too old. It's fine for quickly looking something up or shooting off a quick email, but that's about it. I use my laptop exclusively when I'm at home. The tablet is small so I usually have it with me when I'm out. It's great for reading, sending emails, Facebook, etc - it does the trick most of the time (unless I have to do a lot of typing).
3 years 3 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 mango
MS: coffee with half & half
L: (actually, brunch) breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese, and bacon on an English muffin)
AS: Miralax/protein shake
D: I may make a pizza and have one piece

Good morning~ It's Sunday funday - or so I hope. Yesterday, I didn't end up walking or swimming or cleaning. I was so tired all day then was in the bathroom all night. After skipping swimming, I reserved a lane for today and plan on going if I'm okay to do so. Otherwise, I will putz around the house, prepping for the week and doing laundry. Tonight, my Patriots play Rob's Lions - should be a fun game for us.
QOTD - I am iPhone (8 plus) all the way and have an apple watch (3) I love just as much. I love upgrading, but usually skip a few generations also. I am still very happy with mine for now. I don't care for tablets preferring a laptop. I'd love a macbook for my home use, but cannot justify the expense just to surf the net so I have an HP - I'm happy enough. I have my work desktop with multiple huge screens for anything else I could possibly need.
Accountability - I had blackberries on my yogurt last night and a glass of wine with dinner
22 mo post op - 157.3
b- coffee x 3, yogurt w/blackberries
l-egg beaters and salsa
d-chicken enchilada casserole
es - yogurt w/blackberries

Good morning RnYers! Happy Sunday!
A busy day for me today, catching up workwise. This coming week I am purchasing my annual precious hoards of rose absolute and of rose otto (aka rose essential oil). It is excruciatingly expensive stuff, even at below wholesale, which this opportunity will be. But I only have about 1/2 ounce left if that of either, so it can't be helped. I look forward to discovering what this year's harvest/oils are like - there are slight variations from year to year, sometimes the fragrance is headier, sometimes sweeter, sometimes it has a slight tea or lemon note, etc. It is always extremely beautiful.
QOTD: I have a desktop with two huge monitors for working in art and graphics programs. I have an Amazon fire tablet which I use constantly. I have an iPhone 8 which I bought in February - I didn't want the 10 - I found it too big, plus, I rejected the idea of spending $1k on a phone. I love the 8. It replaced my beloved 4s, which I had used since the earth was cooling!
First: Three huge mugs of tea
B: a few blueberries and some plain nonfat Greek yogurt with a splash of vanilla SF syrup
L: chicken
D: tuna with melted Swiss cheese
S: chicken
Have a sweet day, my friends!
Good morning all. Today is day three of Laver Cup. I kind of feel like I live alone because my wife has spent the entire weekend at Laver Cup and my boys are nocturnal and only come out of their rooms to gather food. I am relieved that my knees seem none worse for wear after the 3 mile Heart Walk on Friday. Sometimes I can't tell for a couple of days.
QOTD: Probably I lean towards being less tech-enabled. I still keep my schedule in a manual date book and prefer to read something physical than a screen. I have a three year old iPhone. I think its 7s. I really like my black leather case so I don't want to upgrade it to a different size. Since its my work phone i don't have a lot of apps on it. I have my work laptop. I have an old IPAD that I just use for internet. We have a Mac computer. When I travel I won't know how to post on OH because I used the automatic password feature but didn't write down what I was assigned. In general I am plagued by passwords.
Breakfast: Scrambled egg and turkey sausage link
Snack: Cottage cheese
Lunch: Ricotta bake
Snack: Premier, SF popsicles
Dinner: Ricotta Bake and green beans
Have a great day all.
