Hair Loss 10 yrs after RNY...

Have you tried the doctor that did your procedure? I'm going thru similar issues, 10 yrs out. I'm about ready to call my surgeon's office. I'm supposed to go back annually for follow-up labwork. Maybe your doctor does something similar?

I'm 12 years out and have been losing hair like crazy lately. At first I thought it was from the abuse my hair takes (heat styling, highlighting, etc.) but now I suspect that I am not getting enough protein in my diet.

I also suffer from digestive issues which makes it really difficult to vary my diet. I have been told I have IBS, but I'm scheduled for a colonoscopy in a few months. I think the hair loss is unrelated to that, but perhaps due to my diet?

I agree with Peachpie.... I went to a dermatologist when mine started falling out really bad and had blood work done. I also use the rogaine for women daily and it helps.
