Oh, I am jealous of your being on the whale migration route -- they are su*****redible beings! Have you listened to Anna Kendrick's biography Scrappy Little Nobody? She does the audio book and it just made me love her more.

Also, that bottom picture is very interesting -- is that a sunken ship or some kind of installed barrier at the end of the dock? It looks so cool.

The locals call it the cement ship. It's SS Palo Alto. It used to be a dance place in my DH's grandma's era but now due to various storms has become a home to seagulls and sharks. We can no longer get rid of it because it's part of the marine something because under water the sharks made it their home. We have them there all summer long. Shark sightings is no longer an event here, it's an every day thing. They come with the tourist season and leave after the tourists are gone.
