I've missed a few more days, I'm still dealing with vertigo. I was trying to make some dill pickles on Sunday when out of nowhere I wa**** by a severe wave of vertigo. I ended up spending the rest of the day in bed, and I didn't think I should be driving on Monday so I worked from home. Unfortunately I wasn't very productive. You wouldn't think that vertigo would make you tired, but since my eyes are what is moving my vision has been blurry and it's hard to focus. I put on another scopolamine patch to avoid vomiting and still have a very dry mouth, but I guess it beats the alternative.
I kind of feel like a baby, that I should be able to just power through this. But it really isn't possible. I have another PT session tomorrow so I hope that I can get it to go away.
QOTD: The hardest things for me is not drinking with meals and having to wait 30 minutes. If I go out I just don't get any water because it's too easy to reach for it and forget. I also am having a hard time working out, I was doing great before the vertigo, but who wants to walk when you can't walk a straight line, and you feel totally out of balance. I also tried some crunches but motion is what triggers to vertigo so I gave up. I'll get back on track when this is gone.
Accountability- some carbs have been sneaking there way back into my meals, those pesky Barnum's Animal Crackers and Rice Crispy Treats- the small ones that are 45 calories. I know I need to just not buy them.

Good afternoon!!
I was intending to post this morning, but I went to a yoga class, then got caught up in email, then met a friend for lunch, then had to run a couple of errands - so I didn't get around to it until now!
yoga went well - it was a gentle class, and I could do most of the poses without too much tension on my incisions (my plastic surgeon cleared me for exercise, but I'm approaching it carefully and gradually....). I may wait on some other things (like pool-based activities) another couple of weeks - I'm a little hesitant to jump into that right now.
QOTD: like others, separating drinking from eating is a non-issue. Never thought it would be. Taking vitamins is also easy - I'm on autopilot and don't give it a second thought. It's also easy to limit my calories to c. 1700 a day (and fortunately, I can maintain on that - I evidently have decent metabolism) - but I would find it really hard to have to eat way less than that. I feel bad for the people on here who have to eat less than 1200 or 1000 or whatever to maintain. Yikes. I'm not sure I could do that long-term...
