I did all my estate planning in the 30 days or so between getting my surgery date and having surgery; my sister refused to have any conversations because she said I was jinxing myself; I said I was ensuring it wouldn't be needed by making sure it was all done. It's an odd process but good to have it all taken care of.

I really wish you could get your EGD sooner. Thinking of you. And, yes fluids as much as you can but keep an eye on dehydration symptoms so you can get treatment ASAP if you need to.

I have found that fluids at different temperatures can be easier or harder to drink. I really like hot herbal tea, especially lemon ginger, and SF popsicles. Room temperature fluids just don't do it for me. You may want to try some different things.

G'morning all (it's still morning here),

Took a break to see what you are all up to. Work has been busy and I haven't had a chance to check in with you guys before my morning starts. All good in my neck of the woods, beautiful sunny days with GORGEOUS sunsets. I'll post some pics on Friday so you can see. It's like somebody up there is painting the sky in all shades of red and orange.

QOTD: I have a sweet tooth, have always loved sweets and I would say 90% of my being overweight has been from sweets (cookies, chocolate, ice cream....you name it). With the fear of dumping, and actually having suffered it a couple of times, I stay far and clear from sweets. I never thought I would say no to icecream but now it's easy to say no. I might take a bite from DH's or DS's icecream but no longer will order the hugest cone available.

Accountability: great.

B: two scrambled eggs and 2 turkey links

L: Rotisserie chicken

S: on the road - epic chicken

D: same as snack

Happy hump day! :-)

I always loved sugar. I think that at least 75 pounds of my starting weight, no exaggeration, was attributable to ice cream alone! But any thing sweet was my preference, over anything else I could eat.

My surgeon didn't want any of his patients to use any artificial sweeteners at all. I have not followed this rule. I avoid sugar altogether, but I do indulge in SF syrups, and I sometimes use Sweet 'n Low. I would feel deprived if I had nothing sweet, and don't feel that is necessary. But I won't have sugars, honey, agave syrup, etc. - I don't know if so dum*****t, and I don't want to find out! I hope I do dump as I was such a sugar maniac, but it sounds like an utterly awful experience. So I stay away and let just the potential be a threat!

Hello all,

QOTD: I think the not drinking with meals is going a lot easier than I expected. I had to do that with the Band too. It takes some getting use to though. I LOVE not being hungry all the time!!!

B - PP Shake

L - Taco meat (turkey/lean ground beef combo) with bell peppers and a sprinkle of cheese

D - Not sure yet. Since it's mine and my son's birthday today, I'm going to let him choose dinner.

Exercise: My birthday morning started out great!! Instead of sleeping in after the concert last night, I got up early and took advantage of the vacation hours I took for today and got Boot Camp class in with my sister. It's been a while since I've taken a Boot Camp class; I definitely felt in my element. I wish I could start work late every Wednesday...

Have a great day!!
