I'm sorry to read that you have been having such a miserable time of things! Early on I frequently experienced pain when trying to eat various things. Before I added any meats, yogurt, cottage cheese, hummus, and refried beans, as well as my shakes, all sat well and didn't cause pain. Adding in meats came later for me, and fish was the most problematic of all, routinely giving me hours of pain whenever I attempted to eat it. Everyone's experience is slightly different, and many people seemed able to handle foods and also amounts early on that would have done me in. Even at 15+ months post-op, I still react poorly to some foods, but mostly it's really very smooth sailing.

I am glad you are in touch with your surgeon, and that the possibility of a stricture is being checked. I do know that things will get better for you. Take good care of yourself, be gentle with your pouch, keep hydrated, and please keep us posted!

Good morning! Busy Tuesday, I?ve been in the office since about 530...and stopped to get a double espresso red eye on the way here, yum.

QOTD - this will be my first post surgery round of holidays so I?m a bit nervous. On the positive side, I had already minimized holiday foods except for my sisters holiday potatoes on thanksgiving and the 4 peanut butter balls i allowed her to send e for Christmas. I know the pB balls are a no go from now on and that?s ok but I am planning on having some of the holiday potatoes on thanksgiving only (they are about 30% potatoes, 50% cream cheese and 20% butter). I will be forgoing the traditional next morning potato pancakes though. I?ll be st my sisters for the whole week of thanksgiving so I?m bringing my food scale! Christmas and New Years are not big eat/drink days for me so no worries about them. I?ve also tweeted Dannon L&F greek to ask them to make an eggnog yogurt for Christmas, and asked my local tea shop the same (eggnog tea blend). I will miss my weekly eggnog chai from thanksgiving to Christmas...but I?m mentally prepped for that. Please let me know if anyone sees a SF eggnog syrup or creamer though!

menu

b - greek L&F (chocolate covered raspberry!)

L - salad toppings at vendor lunch

d - 2 oz roast beef and cheese stick

removed the two duplicate posts below - blaming it on the bad gateway error!

hmmm...I have some eggnog-flavored extract around here somewhere that I picked up at some place (like Michael's, maybe?) that sells baking supplies. I bought it thinking I could add it to vanilla protein shake, but that was like two years ago - still haven't opened it. I'll try adding it to plain Greek yogurt!

Good morning menu buddies! What a morning. I got up nearly early enough to make it to Pilates without driving like a mad person. I did Pilates, then realized I am completely exhausted, so I cancelled my training session. I am supposed to go to a friends house later for a crafting day, but I just don't see how that can happen. The good news is though, the scale finally moved this morning! 208.1! I am definitely feeling like things are completely back to normal, all my goals are getting met, I am back on the treadmill and now the lbs are moving again. Woot!

Qotd: I haven't really gotten any holiday advice...but at this point I think I can safely say that nothing I bake tastes good enough to indulge in, only to deal with the discomfort afterwards. I will do my usual baking, but I will also be quilting mug rugs to go with everyones batches of cookies. Hopefully the need to be in the sewing room will help mitigate any grazing. I will be planning on eating some of the cake that my husband bakes for my birthday. He is really getting good at making healthy substitutions! His chocolate frosting made with honey and avocado is so much healthier than the sugary stuff and genuinely just as tasty.

Accountability: Second day in a row of spot on with every goal!

Bf: Premier Protein

MS: Johnsonville Flame Grilled chicken, 1 slice Dave's Killer Bread Thin Powerseed, 1/2t Margarine, 1t sugar free raspberry preserves

L: 1/2 real good pizza (1 serving)

AS: 1 babybel, 1 protein water

D: Leftover Sausage Giardier...yeah autofill is letting me down this time. 4 Triscuits

Protein jello cup!

Goals: 1000 calories, 100g Protein, 100oz water, 1 hour Pilates, 1 hour treadmill, all Vitamins
