Morning, RnYers! Happy Sunday!

I have a lot of work to catch up on today and tomorrow. Serves me right for being a bit lazy earlier in the week.

I'm going to have to buy some sort of water resistant jacket with a hood to wear up here when I walk with the black lab, unless I want my hair to be perennially wavy/curly and rain-frizzed. We both returned from our long walk yesterday good and wet! Oh well - neither of us melts!

QOTD: I decorate a bit for fall, but usually not specifically for Halloween except for some pumpkins. I have always enjoyed carving them! Oh, and I like putting luminarias out too, orange and black for Halloween, and usually white for Christmas. Not sure how that will fly up here, as luminarias and rain cannot coexist. Once Thanksgiving has finished, I truly adore decorating for Christmas! I keep entertaining the idea of getting a fake tree, but the only one I have ever liked is something like $800 on sale, which is hard to justify when Costco sells beautiful real trees for $35. I prefer real trees, but last year getting a slice taken off of the bottom (Costco no longer does this), getting it out of the car and into the house, then into the stand and upright - by myself - was quite an ordeal. I think it was mostly because the Costco guys insisted it be placed into the car rather than trying it on the roof (they cited legal liabilities). It was well and truly jammed into the back seat, and really hard to extricate!

I haven't weighed myself yet this morning - still lounging in bed here. I only lost 1/2 pound last week, but 5 pounds the week before. I hope to see some movement soon, and am sure I will.

I have been drinking a ton of tea, starting my day with three 19-ounce mugs, drinking often throughout the day, and having several refills in the evening. The only downside is frequent trips to the bathroom, otherwise I like how I feel when I'm well hydrated. Plus I think it really does help stem excess hunger, though sometimes I'm still more interested in eating than I prefer to be.

I watched Love Actually again last night - it's on Netflix. I always enjoy that movie, and love how it ends, in a heart.

First: tea, and lots of it!

B: ham with smoked gouda

L: salmon with lemon

D: maybe eggs - or more salmon, this time with Cajun spices and a little plain, nonfat Greek yogurt on the side.

Have a lovely Sunday, my friends!

Came home from running errands this morning and decided to make a big pot of bean-veggie soup for DW's lunches. She loves soup and there will be plenty to put containers in the freezer too.

Also got more mums to fill in a few spots. They are yellow, orange and purple and really look fall-ish.

Afternoon menu buddies! Yesterday was actually okay. My husband is doing well despite the news about his dad. He even encouraged me to eat at my scheduled times. "If you shouldn't eat when your stressed and angry, you can't not eat when your sad and worried. Balance." Then we even had friends over in the evening. It was a little strained for us but still a good time.

Qotd: Our neighbors across the street do an amazing haunted house. So currently I only put out a few things so as not to take away from them. However! This is her last year doing it, another neighbor on the other side of the circle is taking over in 2019. So next year I plan to go all out!

Accountability: calories are spot on at 1000, but protein was a little low. 75g. Working on that today!

Bf: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice homemade sugar free zucchini bread

MS: Shrewd food protein puffs

L: chicken sausage, 1T mustard

AS: premier protein shake, babybel

D: slow cooker Sausage Gia......I forget the name. Casserole. From the eating well after weight loss surgery cookbook.

Goals: 1000 calories, 100g protein, 100oz water, 30 minutes treadmill, all vitamins.
