What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Morning menu folks!
I have a few minutes to sit and sip my coffee and start things today before I run out the door.
How was your Saturday? Did you relax or was it a day to catch up on the week? Mine was pretty busy. Four loads of laundry, runs to Giant and Trader Joe's, a trip with DW to Michael's for craft supplies, a stop at Lowe's for supplies for DW to do some home projects and lots of mums for my barrel pots (the geraniums are at an end). Then since it wasn't raining, thanks to Florence's influence being still to our south, I planted my mums, weeded and trimmed back worn out perennials, and worked on clearing our forsythia hedge of thorny vines that grow in our neighbor's yard. Lots of dirt and scratches later, it is looking much better. Once we get our first good freeze, I will trim everything back but that is a while yet.
QOTD: On a Halloween theme, how much do you decorate for Halloween? Do you go all out or do you consider the sensibilities of the young trick-or-treaters? DW and I love to decorate but don't go too scary. No eerie noises, no zombies, limited numbers of skeletons. DW also likes to dress up and has great masks from her theater days. I have to ask her not to open the door wearing a monster mask because we have a young population of trick-or-treaters who are easily frightened.
Accountability: I didn't eat much until about 3:00 yesterday (a chomps, a protein shake, lots of coffee) but then kinda made up for it later by eating every hour for the rest of the evening. Not a good plan.
Menu:
B: coffee, ham
S: chomps, apple
L: leftover crab cake
S: Buddig's turkey packet
D: hamburger
Exercise: I'd like to do a long walk if I can manage it between rain showers

I pretty much ate every hour on the hour all afternoon yesterday, then I just needed to get out of house. Slept last night like someone knocked me out.
Sitting here trying to eat my overnight oats before the gym, but I think I'm done. Small pouch this AM.
QOTD: No Halloween decorations
B: cold brew latte, overnight oats
L: BBQ: protein, salad
D: at brothers house. My SIL cooks basically healthy, so not worried.
S: protein drinks
ex: gym day. Lots of pushups today. Woop!

Good Morning, Janet and Menu Family!
QOTD: We usually don't do much decorating for Halloween. I have a scarecrow that I put out on a table with the Halloween candy and we usually carve a couple jack-o-lanterns but that's about it. I just put the candy out on a table outside with a sign saying "Please take two" because the three dogs will bark up a storm and try to get out the front door if the trick-or-treaters come to the door. The three dogs would probably scare the children more than any Halloween decorations would. LOL.
My Saturday was pretty good. I sold the last of the apples off my tree. I probably got about 100 lbs of apples picked from my apple tree! I gave several pounds to a friend of mine, who peeled and cored them with her apple corer for me and she and I are going to make apple pies on Wednesday. The rest I sold on our local area exchange for $3 per 5-lb. bag.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 91, Calories - 1,445, Carbs - 186.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, banana, light & fit Greek yogurt
L: 160 calorie meal, light & fit Greek yogurt
D: peanut butter & banana sandwich on 45 calorie bread
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks, light & fit Greek yogurt, frozen yogurt
E: walking dogs
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! Quick post before everyone is up for church :)
I was so lazy yesterday. Just exhausted so I napped on the couch off and on all day. We had an away football game the night before and didn't get home until 1am, then had to unload the band semi, then my husband and son were hungry so we went to Waffle House. Ended up going to sleep about 3 am. And my body ALWAYS wakes up no later than 6. So I recouped during the day lol.
QOTD: I really only decorate for Christmas. When my kids were younger I did a lot for Halloween too bc my daughters bday is 10/23 and she LOVES Halloween but I just don't anymore. I hate dragging everything out putting it up for a couple weeks then having to clean it back up. I love seeing other people's houses that do it and just wish I felt like I had time to change decorations for the different seasons/holidays.
Breakfast: premier protein drink
lunch: somewhere after church with friends
Dinner: fish tacos and pork carnitas
Have an awesome day!!

Mornin' All!
well, like a couple of others, I felt like an eating machine yesterday. I did semi-OK, though, up until the time we went to a movie (at 7:30). DH ordered his usual large popcorn, and I ate 1/3 of it. Ugh. I think I need to stop going to movies. Or at least with him. Ugh. (we saw "Leave No Trace" at our second-run place - excellent!)
QOTD: we don't decorate for any season, really. It stopped right around the time we started collecting cats. Too many critters climbing Christmas trees and such. We don't have any super young cats anymore so it may not be an issue, but we got out of the habit.
Leaving for Chicago in about an hour, so not sure what I'll be eating most of the day. I was able to get a hotel a few blocks from this Middle Eastern place I love (no - that wasn't one of the criteria when picking a hotel, but I'm ecstatic nonetheless!), so it'll be Middle Eastern for dinner for sure, but not sure what else.
3 years 3 months out:
B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt, 1/2 small mango
MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein shake
L: meeting up with a cousin for lunch, so not sure. Something light and safe since I'll be eating dinner out, too
D: chicken kabobs or beef shawarma, a couple of tablespoons of hummus
We got our first two cats not Lon gaffer I moved in with DH, so we've never decorated and I have no idea how they'd react to a Christmas tree! They'll be 6 and 5 years old when we move so I'm hoping that might be "mature" enough to stay off the tree. Probably not. But I'll hope!

Good Morning!
I am actually feeling so much better this morning. I'd say about 79% back to normal. Yesterday my hubby took me out for a ride. We picked up a Christmas gift for my great-neice and then to the farmers market because I just had to have honey crisp apples. We also bought a dozen mums and a few pumpkins.
QOTD: I don't decorate for Halloween but I decorate for fall - pumpkins, mums, hay bales and a scarecrow. Nothing fancy but a little fun. I just don't do Halloween.
I don't have a plan for eating today. I haven't felt like eating but today I just might!

Morning everyone! My run is done and I'm waiting on the bathroom to shower. Yesterday was busier than I'd hoped- I was invited to An event and a colleague's church and that took most of my day. That, and some yard work. By 5 I was a literal vegetable.
Today I just need to buy water and plan out meals for the week. I was pretty excited this Morning because I've been slowly working on my weight and today my BMI was 33- it's been hanging at 34 for too long. I prefer to be between BMI 31-32, so 33 is progress. Gotta keep the pace going.
Qotd: decorating is less of a thing since the kids are older. They still love Christmas decorating- but fall- not so much. I like the fall harvest theme vs. Halloween. I have one orange bin-- if I opt to pull it out I thing it has a front door wreath and a few knickknacks for the book cases as well maybe a lawn sign or two.
213.5 today, 3.4 years out
m1: egg, turkey sausage, cheese stick and cream of wheat
m2: 1/2 sandwich with deli chicken & ham and cheese and pickles
m3: took out a whole chicken-- hopefully it defrosts.
