Thanks, it seemed to go without a hitch, so I had it again for my afternoon meal. I think that I enjoyed it more the second time because I felt more comfortable after trying it in the morning.

at first, I lived on protein shakes, pureed canned chili (no beans) and yogurt at work. It took a while to get more comfortable with other foods. I was so worried about getting sick or having to suddenly use the bathroom! I could barely eat a 1/4 cup of food (like chili) or half an egg then.

Best of luck for a smooth first day/week! It really does get easier and better, you'll see!

I hope Saralisa recovers comfortably and quickly!

So this weekend turned pretty ugly last night. My husband got a phone call from his mom. His dad has been diagnosed with ALS. We know nothing about it really so we spent the night reading up. This is so damn unfair! He just retired and was looking forward to riding his motorcycle all over the country to visit every baseball park...as just one goal. My husband is still in a bit of shock. We knew something was wrong, but still. I have so much I am feeling after the sudden death of my mother 4 years ago. But that doesn't matter, I have to be strong right now for my amazing husband and his family.

Qotd: I always dress up! This year I am going easy and dressing as Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck it Ralph. I just finished the wig yesterday.

Accountability: yesterday was very good other than.. again... no exercise. Today I am getting in that stinkin treadmill!

Today I am not sure about the plan...I don't have much of an appetite right now. I hope I can at least eat some protein later.

I'm so sorry to read about your father-in-law's diagnosis! What a shock for him, and for all of you! Hang in there.

I will! I hope my husband can too. Definitely a shock, but at the same time... with a few more hours of thought it is almost a relief to have the diagnosis and know what is going on.

Awww! What a sweet story! He was meant to be yours! And bless your heart for volunteering at the SPCA! I'd like to volunteer at our animal shelter, but I'm afraid I'd bring so many dogs home with me that our house would be bursting at the seams!
