Top of the morning y?all and TGIF!!!

I have started a trade with of DH's colleagues and it tickles me happy to no end. DH is in high tech (in Silicon Valley) and most of his colleagues are Indian. He always jokes that he is the minority being one of the few white boys. Anyway, we love Indian food and Indian spices. DH was telling one of the guys that we love hot spices and he offered to make us a special spice (consistency of pesto) that is home made and can't be found at stores. Well, after we tried the first time we were hooked. It's so hot that it almost brings tears to your eyes and for me it's great because I can put it on all the meats I eat. But I was embarrassed to ask for more so I proposed a trade. I bake for them - banana bread, cranberry bread, etc and in exchange he makes me these sauces. Last night I made him a lemon bread that DH is taking in to work today. He says he feels like a drug mule; bringing Indian sauce home and taking baked goods to work. Anyway, I get my fix because I love to bake but there's nothing left around the house for me to eat so it's a win-win.

QOTD: holiday decorating. I love making wreaths for various holidays and come September I'm drowning in deco mesh and glitter! I also love cardigan weather when it gets cold but for that we gotta wait till mid Nov around here.

Had to come up with a way to ask for the spices without being imposing. I realized they (his family and him) don't know most of typical American sweets so I said I would sacrifice and introduce them to it.

Can't wait to make them my famous pumpkin scone. Even though he said the kids don't like pumpkin. Hah! Told him to give it a year or two. LOL.
