What's on your Wednesday Menu RNY'ers?
hey everyone. It's been a hectic two days for me. Yesterday I ended up with my sister who was in the hospital. She's home now and we're not sure why what happened, happened. And my sitting in a hospital all day won me a wicked cold. I swear my nose began running the moment I sat down at her bedside- and it all just went down hill. I'm staying home today cause my body just hurts.
Qotd: what do you take when you're under the weather? I don't like taking anything other than Tylenol. I will take cough medicine if I have a bad cough. But I won't take any of the 'cold and flu' formula stuff- I feel like it just masks symptoms. I'm a believer that a cold needs to run it course.

menu: who knows I currently desire nothing- but that could switch to an 'inhale all foods' feeling by later on.

Morning all! It already feels like the week is going on forever.
Peach, I am so sorry that you have a cold. Definitely take the Tylenol and drink a ton of fluids. I drink alot of herbal tea when I am under the weather, especially lemon ginger. It seems to clear out the mucus.
Another busy day ahead as we continue to hit the trainees with a ton of information. Lots of questions and hand holding to get them through the first few days. Lots of steps and "on" time. I hope the thunderstorms hold off long enough for me to get in a lunchtime walk. I need to take the time away from the office for a bit to clear my head.
Tonight is my cyber training session with my trainer. I'll do 30-45 minutes of warmup with a kickboxing video and then do 30 minutes of strength work with the trainer. I really do love my time with him and see my body changing, which is cool since I've never been in this shape in my life. I have found, however, that I can't do hard ab work more than twice a week or my muscles that were tightened in PS start to spasm. Gotta take it easy.

I'm sorry you're sick, Peach! I was feeling a bit iffy yesterday like I couldn't tell if I was coming down with a cold or having allergies. Must have been allergies because I feel ok today. I don't take much, but I do drink lots of hot tea, and I do like alka seltzer effervescent tablets, the citrus ones. I haven't checked to see if those are still OK though. Most of those other things like you said, I feel like just mask stuff and make me feel weird. Either groggy or weirdly jittery.
Breakfast: coffee and SF pumpkin creamer
snack: Greek L&F
lunch: tuna creations, string cheese, cucumber slices

QOTD: I like to diffuse essential oils when I have a cold. This website is a good source of information if you are interested. Make sure you use a high-quality oil.

Good morning! I'm sorry you're under the weather. I have had for weeks now, sniffles and congestion. No other respiratory stuff going on our other symptoms, so I'm thinking it's seasonal allergies vs a cold. I hate both.
I don't take anything if I can avoid it, just blow my nose and repeat. If it's just at that breaking point where i can't breathe, I might use Dristan to breathe so I can get a good rest in overnight. Tylenol does nothing for me, never has seemed to touch pain. Thankfully I didn't feel much pain after I had this wls. I remember filling out the prescription pain killers (oxy) but I didn't open it. Luckily i didn't need to.
Menu is good. More or less same as yesterday.
Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
