What's on your Tuesday Menu RNY'ers?
Hello all,
For me, it's probably a toss up to have someone cook healthy meals for me and my family or clean my house. If I had to choose, I would probably go with having someone clean. DH and I have actually talked about hiring someone for at least the Winter months. Our kiddos are so busy that we're rarely home in the evenings and are gone on weekends for sport tournaments and skiing so getting the house clean is not easy. This reminds me that I need to start getting some bids...
B - 1/2 of a Crack an egg bowl - did the turkey sausage one and wasn't impressed. I tried it for the convenience factor but I can make something that is much tastier and less cost.
L - shredded beef with quac and salsa
D - taco meat with salsa or tuna/veggies again
S - meat stick and string cheese, if needed
Exercise - 2 mile walk (done); bike ride and Body Pump (upper body only) tonight with my sister - expected calorie burn is 1000 cals.
Have a great Tuesday!!

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday!
I started to post at the crack of dawn, but my post vanished into the unrecoverable ether, so here is Take 2!
Down .4 of a pound today, headed in the right direction!
Today is 9/11. My home town in NJ lost many, many people that day. May they rest in peace, and may those left behind find comfort. It blows my mind that young people entering college have no memory of this staggering event.
I have to do grocery shopping today. I will prepare salmon and make a pot roast. Between these two, I will be set for a few days! I like both of these foods because they are delish and very high protein, and also because I find myself unable to eat more than about 2.5 ounces at a time, or I would be very uncomfortable. So I pay attention and stop when I get that signal. That amount keeps me full and promotes movement down the scale: a win all around!
QOTD: I would love to have someone in to do housework. All of it! Except laundry, which oddly I kind of enjoy.
First: 56 ounces of tea (three big mugs)
B: ham with smoked gouda
L: Ranch flavored tuna packet
D: pot roast or salmon
S: same as dinner
Have a great day, my friends!

In a real way, he is lucky! I wish none of us had ever had that experience. But we were forever changed by it nonetheless, the country changed, so your son knows the aftermath intimately. My mom was born in Europe, in the last brutal winter of World War 1, while the Spanish flu was raging. Though she was of course just a baby and could not understand, the world she was born into would never be the same as it was before that war. Same must have been true of those Americans and Japanese who were born right around Pearl Harbor. I think these huge traumas shape the collective consciousness and affect everyone for many years to come - even forever, though in time they grow less acute.
Hi everyone,
Another long day at work!
