What's on your Monday Menu RNY'ers?
Good morning! Another quick post from me today. I have an appt with my PCP in a bit so I took the day off so I didn't have to feel rushed to leave the office and get back.
QOTD: I really can't think of a product I can't live without. I like my perfume- Pure Grace but wouldn't pay too much more for it.
Menu: B: latte, eggbeaters and turkey sausage links L: TBD depends on what time I'm done at the dr S: Smoked turkey sausage, carbmaster yogurt and iced latte bar D: steak, a veggie, sliced fruit and dark chocolate ES: yogurt with fiber cereal
not plugged into MFP yet.
E: stairmaster and elliptical this AM
W/V on track.
I hope everyone has a great day!
I feel like today is back to normal. Husband back at work, me not in a painful fog, chores to be done and quilts to work on! Should be a very good day. Also I have support group on Thursday and am super excited to get back to that!
Qotd: Well this has me thinking... I would have to say milk. I had to cut it and all dairy out several years ago when they were trying to nail down the cause of my migraines. I went from going through about a gallon a week, sometimes more, to not a drop even for cooking or baking for 6 months. Now after surgery I don't even have an 8oz glass every day, or every other day. But...I get cravings for just a few ounces of ice cold milk about twice a week. I absolutely, point blank, completely refuse to ever give that up again.
Accountability: chocolate made it's way into my diet yesterday. I didn't plan for it, and didn't make room so carbs and calories were higher than they should have been. I threw it away though, so none today!
I genuinely don't know my menu for today...I have to make a grocery list and go shopping before I can even have breakfast...
Goals: maybe 950 calories, 85g protein, 100oz water, 1hour treadmill, 15 minutes hula hooping video, all vitamins.
Good morning!
Menu is good. Protein bar and a coffee for breakfast, and added a small apple for some fibre.
Am snack, protein shake. Probably avoid the afternoon snack but I've got a protein shake nearby if I really need it. Likely not though if I'm slamming back water and decaf.
Lunch is tuna/ cucumber/ cottage cheese mixed.
Supper is a question mark but on plan.
Qotd; I struggle to find something that I'd keep "at whatever cost" but, I think Pure Protein bars might top that list. The clinic NUT isn't a big fan but these fit their guidelines of 10g/100 calories. I dunno...I just like them during the week for breakfast at my desk.
Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Because they are SO delicious!! I can't handle the SA's anymore, but I sure do linger and drool a bit when I see them.

Good morning Peach and everyone. I am just back from an epic girls gone wild road trip. I had a wonderful time spending a good chunk of quality time with friends that I do not get to see very often. We spent almost a week at my friend?s gorgeous lake house, then glamped at a resort that rents out Airstream trailers. We ended the trip with a couple of days in Oregon wine country. So fun, and there is nothing better then hanging out with girl friends doing girly stuff. Soothes the soul.
Of course, the fun showed up on the scale. I gained 3 pounds, but am happy to report that this morning I am down 4 pounds. I am going to Montreal next Sunday for a week, so I am trying to be super strict this week with my eating to prepare. Ugh. A curse on all the delicious food.
Today I have chores around the house to do, like laundry and such. It is going to be cloudy and cool today, with rain moving in tomorrow, so at least I do not have to water the yard. I do have to deal with all of the veggies from my garden that ripened while I was gone. I oven dried a ton of cherry tomatoes yesterday, and today I need to make basil pesto and chimichurri sauce with all of the herbs that have tripled in size while I was gone.
I also have an Alumnae Council meeting tonight. I would rather stay home home and binge the new season of Ozark, but you know, commitments.
OOTD: Mascara and eye brow powder. My brows and lashes came back in pretty light and sparse after chemo, and I think I look terrible without darkening them.
3 years, 10 mos post op:
B: Egg Beaters, bacon, mushroom, mozzarella and dried tomato omelette.
S: Em?s egg salad on romaine lettuce leaves
L: 4 oz taco meat on lettuce with salsa
S: 3 oz deli ham wrapped around pickle slices
D: Baked chicken thigh and roasted egg plant
S: Protein hot chocolate
Totals: calories 726, carbs 20, protein 89
Have a great day everyone!
