Morning everyone! I went to bed late but feel surprisingly alert. Yesterday was gloriously lazy, besides canning tomatoes and doing laundry. I stayed in pajamas all day and changed into fresh pajamas at bedtime after a bubble bath :P I think I needed a real "day of (mostly) rest."

qotd: hmm, I'd say internet but I don't think of that so much as a specific product. I'm not really loyal to any particular brands or products specifically but I do use a LOT of disinfectant wipes. I'm sure mine are Clorox because I buy them in bulk from Costco. and I like the lemon scented ones for the kitchen and the original scent in the bathroom.

weight was up this morning and I'm sure it's from all of the eating out over the weekend while family was in town or my being out of town on Saturday. I felt like I made decent choices, so I'm hoping it's jus****er weight from the added sodium. Extra hydration and strict eats this week for me! The scale shouldn't be going that direction!

breakfast: coffee and SF pumpkin pie spice creamer

snack: HB egg

lunch: 3 oz deli turkey and 2 slices of baby swiss rolled up with mustard to dip

dinner: 3 oz pork loin chop (never did get these cooked) and green beans

going to shoot for 150 oz of fluids today, don't even care if that means I'm running to the loo :P

I love pork loins and if you cut off the extra fat, they are pretty healthy. The only problem is that they can be very dry. Be careful and remember the small bites and chew well.

Thanks! I don't actually have much trouble even with dry meats, but I have them marinading. As long as I don't over cook them, they seem to stay fairly juicy.

Weirdly, the only meat I really have problems with is over cooked shrimp. But I'm A-OK with somewhat dry pork and chicken breast. I still use "wiggle sauce" if it's dry though, but then it's mostly just for taste.

Mornin'!

not much on the agenda today other than several things I need to tie up. Meeting a friend this afternoon for iced tea (at least that's what I'm getting..) and a neighborhood association meeting this evening.

QOTD: I'm so frugal that my first inclination was to say nothing, but I'd be pretty much lost without the internet. It'd be a pain to always have to run out to some coffee shop or the library to use it, and I wouldn't be able to use it at night if I had to do that. Intolerable...

3 years 3 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder and raspberries

MS: coffee with half & half, Miralax/protein pumpkin latte shake

L: cottage cheese with strawberries

AS: protein pumpkin pie or L&F yogurt

D: I'm thinking of making beef fajitas in the Instant Pot

Morning everyone!

I had such a great weekend...Saturday we spend the majority of the day by my sister's house so Story and DH could meet baby Eli, and we also watched my niece's first soccer game (she will be 4 in a few days-2 months older than Story)...it was cute but she reminds me SO much of myself, I swear my sister got my kid and I got hers LOL...Presley is super cautious, careful, perfectionist, girly...she was so worried because she wasn't "good enough" at soccer--it was her FIRST game and she just got so upset because she didn't get to kick a goal! We kept trying to encourage her but she was distraught and quit halfway through. She is literally the smartest child I have ever met, speaking full sentences way before she turned 2...she is good at SO many things but when she isn't good at something, she gets so worked up...like she expects to just be good at everything naturally. LOL...she really is just like me- I have a super hard time venturing outside my comfort zone, and I give up easily when I am not "good" at something. I'm working on this!

Sunday I took Story to the zoo with one of my girlfriends and her daughter and they had a BLAST! story doesn't get to play with many other girls her own age besides her cousin, and although they love each other in theory, the fight ALL THE TIME, like sisters, butting heads always...so it was really nice, she and my friend's daughter hit it off instantly...they were holding hands within 3 minutes of meeting each other. it was super sweet.
I was exhausted when we got home though, so I just cooked dinner and put on a movie--Story has been really into hearing and telling stories lately (living up to her name!)--she wants us to tell them to her all the time, then she will tell them back to us but she likes to mix them together a lot so she comes up with interesting plots LOL...
my favorite movie as a little girl was "the last unicorn"... so i started telling her the story of the red bull...well now she's obsessed, and she asked me yesterday if the red bull was on TV...so of course, we had to watch it. She was sooo into it but when she went to bed, she was afraid the red bull was going to come in her room and get her and she had a really hard time falling asleep...I guess that was a poor choice on my part--I totally forgot how much the red bull scared me as a kid! needless to say, I wanted to get more stuff done last night, but it did not happen.

QOTD: not sure if this counts but AIR CONDITIONING!! I honestly don't care how expensive the electric bill gets in the summer, I will crank that sucker UP! I actually budget for like $150 extra per month just to make sure we can keep it on.
as for products/brands- Tampons...Tampax Pearl to be specific...every other kind I've tried just don't work for me...and Q-Tips. only Q-tip brand...I cannot stand any other cotton swabs--there are NONE that are as soft, and the plastic stick ones are awful.

B: i found these awesome seasonal flavor K-cups at Aldi- Cinnamon Vanilla nut- SOOO GOOD...with some sugar free sweet cream creamer. 1/2 cup cottage cheese and small nectarine
L: leftover Chicken philly cheesesteak casserole
D: not sure yet- probably more leftovers or maybe some carrots/hummus.

Here's a pic of us being silly at the zoo on the carousel.

Good morning! Decided to take a vacation day. I mean Thanksgiving vacation is overrated, lol. I didn't sleep well last night and when 5 o'clock rolled around, I got up, fixed tea, read my devotion and got back in the bed. Must do better tomorrow! We had a big day at church yesterday, homecoming, and I guess I was just keyed up from that. So today I'm mopping and dusting to make myself not feel so guilty about the vacation day, lol.

QOTD Tide

Yesterday cals 1138, protein 90, carbs 29, fat 70. Today B 1st tea with half and half then a boiled whole egg and white of 2nd egg then more tea. L lean hamburger unburger. D chicken. Snacks almonds tea.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning~ It was a dark, foggy commute this morning - ugh - so it starts. I don't like this time of the year especially when the rainy season starts. I could work any hours I want but I like going in early and leaving early to avoid rush hour and now to the gym after work. I had a nice weekend. My lazy day yesterday was quite productive and the Pats won, yay!

QOTD - I have brand preference for everything but I'm not really attached to any one thing I can think of... Mine would have to be my iPhone - it keeps me organized -calendar, reminders, lists, connected and SANE - I would lose it if I lost it and pay anything to replace!

Accountability - great
