I just mix plain homemade Greek yogurt with canned pumpkin (so it's 1/2 yogurt, 1/2 pumpkin). Then I mix in some pumpkin pie spice, Splenda or Stevia, and either vanilla extract or some SF vanilla pudding mix (i.e., the powder only) to taste. Sometimes I'll add a little molasses to deepen the flavor, but that does add sugar - so I don't always do that.

anyway, I always make my yogurt plain and then mix in flavors after it's done. Haven't tried coffee yet - although I love commercial coffee yogurt! (I used to love Fage's, but I can't find it anymore - but Chobani has come out with a new one - Coffee & Cream - which tastes pretty much the same. I love it!)

I will have to try this!! I don't know why I thought I had to do it while making it vs just mixing in later -- that will open so many varieties!!

Good morning. It doesn't really feel like the weekend since I can't go to the gym or work around the house, but its still good to know that nobody is trying to call me for work. Day 1 of pureed went good, I had some cottage cheese and some greek yogurt. i'm not close to getting down to one Premier though.

QOTD: When I was asked this question as a young adult I answered "farmer" but didn't know why. The response that I received was that it was because I was so introverted. That's probably pretty accurate.

Breakfast Premier

Lunch Cottage cheese

Snack Cottage cheese (twice)

Dinner Premier

Have great day

My first migraine since surgery happened Thursday night into this morning. I really thought the change in diet and lifestyle might have meant no more migraines for me... apparently not. This one was a doozy too. Completely laid me up and when the pain would ebb a little I was in such a fog. Lost my wedding rings, flooded our entryway, broke a toilet (unrelated to the flooding), and on it went.

It finally seems to have subsided this morning. But I can't eat much still and exercise is probably out of the question.

Qotd: When I was little I told a teacher that I wanted to be one of Disney's "nine old men" she didn't understand. But I wanted to be an animator. I went so far as to get my associates in animation. But my timing was very bad and my talent is just not competitive enough. Looking for work in the art industry when you're older and have limited 3D skills today is impossible. Although I frequently think about where I would be if I had been more aggressive when I was younger.

Accountability: haven't been eating a lot. Probably won't eat much today either but all protein

Sorry to read that you have been ill, and I'm glad you are on the mend. I had migraines when I was younger, but they have been pretty much absent for a few years, thank goodness - they were horrid and incapacitating.

My DIL was accepted into a medical pilot study incorporating cutting age data on managing or even eliminating migraines. She has suffered migraines of paralyzing intensity since she was in her mid-teens, younger than most. These episodes would have her out for the count for days at a time, and got to the point where 6 such episodes per month were common. She managed these with medication which reduced the pain but which left her slow and not very functional, really not herself.

The protocol of this new study involves dietary changes and herbal tea: No sugar, honey, agave syrup, etc. - none whatsover. No nightshades, ever: no potatoes, tomatoes, peppers of any kind, eggplant, etc. (There are several other nightshade foods.) No nicotine! No alcohol at all. I don't remember whether dairy and/or grains are okay. She also makes feverfew tea and has to have a certain amount of this every day. There may be a second herbal tea involved as well. Anyway, it's a pretty clean diet.

She has been following this protocol since at least the beginning of the year. She is fairly, but not perfectly, compliant, and she has had a reduction of approximately 75% in both the frequency and duration of her migraines. It's been life changing for her. Some participants in the study have experienced complete cessation of their episodes.
