Yay for Fridays!
QOTD I've been lucky to have taken several cruises and they can be fun but I would definitely do the excursions. You dont really have enough time to explore though because it takes a good bit of time to take whatever type of transport from ship to island then you have to wait on entire group to assemble. If you can do your own exploring and feel safe, I'd recommend that.
Yesterday cals 780, protein 76, carbs 33, fat 37. Today B 1st tea with half and half then a boiled whole egg and white of 2nd egg then more tea. L deli Turkey breast and cucumber. D TBD. Snacks light string cheese, fat free cottage cheese.
Photo is of our trip last weekend to Virginia. Not good pics of us, but it is what it is, lol.

Good morning. I'm going to the Nurse Practitioner for my one week follow up today. Today's office location is 40 miles from my house so hopefully we won't have many more appointments at this facility. Later I will try some pureed foods. Otherwise some light working and I'm sure we will be watching tennis tonight.
QOTD: We have been on cruises and always enjoyed them. With our children we have always gone on Royal Caribbean. A few tips (1) pack in soft sided luggage if you can so they can be rolled up and won't take up your whole stateroom (2) you don't spend very much time in your stateroom so I would prefer to spend on activities (3) make sure that you get an International data plan or turn off cellular data so you don't get a shocking cell phone bill when you return. These may be particular to our family but: 1) its shocking how much foot odor two teenage boys can put into a small stateroom, and 2) the younger children never want to go to the kids activities when they can cling to their parents instead.

Good morning. PeachPie - I face the same once or twice a week. I'm far from perfect, but I'm near perfect during the day. Why - I have very hard and fast rules I operate within at the office and at meetings. First I keep some protein in my drawer for the unexpected or expected. Like today at 3 the group is having a "tailgate" due to the first game (I'm assuming it's Bears and pray it's not Packers - or someone will feel the fury of my recent boxing classes ;) ). I'll be bringing a stick of Jerky to that. The only allowable office carve out is nuts and cheese (an oz of each). I walk past it all - saying in my head - not for me. It is making a big difference. I just need to do that better at night. Though I've started my boxing practice in the basement at night (in addition to daytime training) and it's getting me away from the crap so far. But only a week into that new behavior. For meetings - I only eat what I bring and I request special meals - eggwhites if breakfast and grilled chicken, plain for lunch. All meeting organizers now ask if special dietary requests needed. Works perfect. I touch only salad and veg offsite, plus those special items.
As an update for me - I'm coasting into goal range (3 away and about to be 2). The workouts with the trainer are insane. She has me doing things that scare the crap out of me, but they are neat when I realize I can do them. I did a Tabata class for the first time yesterday. Most of the instructors know my story and really watch me and give me encouragement and alternate suggestions if I look like I'm beyond my skills. It's funny my hour swim has gone from 5 days a week and super hard to 1 day and that now is my easy day. My wife is freaking as I'm about 10 pounds away from her and some of our clothes can't be told apart. It is making her focus a lot more on her eating. I think the neatest thing is my new boxing set up in the basement that I bought for half price last weekend. I think that is also freaking out my wife - as the basement really looks like a gym now. My two year surgiversary is coming up soon and I have my annual follow-up. That should be fun, as I happened to be in their office last month (they share space with my Hepatologist) and the nurse saw me and started coughing up her coffee. Yes, it's getting fun :)
